4-1 AND 6-1 BLASTS PRICEWISE: Daqman’s the champ! He took a 7-3 lead over Pricewise with an across-the-cards double at Plumpton and Fairyhouse yesterday, including the Sussex Champion Hurdle winner at 4-1. Daqman is now +67.50 to Pricewise’s -30.00 in 10-point bets on all selections in the new Flat season after bagging the 6-1 Al Quoz sprint winner at Meydan on Saturday.

WON 4-1 OUR CHAMP (Sunday)

TOMORROW: Countdown to the Aintree Grand National

WHERE IS IRISH NATIONAL STAR

⭕ 5.00 Fairyhouse (Irish Grand National) STATS: See Top Ten guide in Daqman last Thursday.

🤔 LAYS LOGIC: Nick Rockett and Good Time Jonny have been laid out for this, with very little confirmation in the form book. But ignore them as a punter, and you may be April Fooled; dare to lay and you may face a big pay-out unless plunge connections (Tony Martin?) are on big time.

‘Jonny’ has been at his best on left-handed tracks (Leopardstown and Cheltenham), so I won’t be on around the galloping right-hander called Fairyhouse.

A line through Minella Cocooner in the Ten Up suggests Nick Rockett has the class to carry the weight, and trainer Willioe Mullins has the class to carry anything off!

They didn’t know whether Hautur D’arc would get the trip before he won the Leinster National (3m 1f), so this 3m 5f has to be questionable for him, too.

Aintree Grand National placed twice, Any Second Now’s best days must be behind him at the age of 12.

Intense Raffles relishes soft-heavy ground but, only six with no experience of an open chase or a handicap, he’s hard to pin the readies to.

➕ POSITIVES: Yeah Man is one of few in the race with marathon success; he’s up 7lb for winning the Haydock Park Grand National trial at around this trip on heavy.

He was giving 6lb to the Warwick Classic winner who would go on to finish third in the Midlands Grand National.

In the Punchestown Grand National Trial in February, Where It All Began went further and further clear. Both his wins have been on bottomless ground. Jack Kennedy’s pick from seven runners declared by Gordon Elliott.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 9.8 Yeah Man, 17.5 Where It All Began

89-1 TREBLE BUT HE NEEDS LUCK!

⭕ 2.25 Plumpton (Sussex Champion Chase) A wipe-out for favourites and an unlucky race for Chris Gordon, who trains near Winchester on the other side of the South Downs.

Chris has saddled 105 winners at Plumpton but two years back had Annual Invictus (3-1) pulled up, never going well, in this Champion Chase.

Then last year his Lord Baddesley (11-4 favourite) could finish only third of five to complete.
Chris’s third-time-lucky contender today is I’d Like To Know, right age and weight and a winner the last day of the old Geoffrey Gilbey Trophy at Newbury.

The seven-year-old cruised round in front a grade lower at Newbury but, when push came to shove, jumped awkwardly, then idled and was not fluent two out and had to be ridden.

Has trainer Gordon been able to cure the waywardness? I’m talking about the same Chris Gordon who had three winners at Plumpton yesterday for an 89-1 treble and who has seven Plumpton chances today.

The novice Scarface, who won well at Sandown the last day when Kotmask fell, is 312 at Plumpton, but was beaten by Kotmask here in February.

I’d like to know why Huelgoat was on the drift this morning to 14.0 on BETDAQ. He has his ground today after an 86-day holiday. I saw him win well ‘at home’ for Paul Nicholls at Wincanton in November and his moderate efforts in deep ground since can be ignored.

DUBAI HONOUR A STONE CLEAR

⭕ 2.55 Kempton (Magnolia Stakes) Dubai Honour is Ryan Moore’s first – and only – ride back today since taking the £457k Dubai World Cup on Tower Of London.

Dubai Honour was fourth in the Britannia first run of 2021 and was 2-2 in Group-1 in Australia at this time last year. He’s a stone clear on the ratings but 2.36 on BETDAQ this morning.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
