2021 FLAT FINALE DIARY
⚠️ HEADS UP The two weeks left of the Flat-racing season is enhanced by the Melbourne Cup at Flemington in Australia and the Breeders Cup at Del Mar in America. As ever, Daqman brings you analysis of the races, as he constantly tries to better his BETDAQ betting. The story so far:
DAQMAN 56, PRICEWISE 38
BULL’S-EYE NAPS 1-4 (25%)
SUPERNAPS 19-28 (69%)
LAYS LOGIC 14-20 (70%)
FORTUNE COOKIES 15-39 (39%)
⭕ 3.15 Naas, Sunday, October 31 (November Handicap) Noel Meade may run his 10-year-old winner of last year’s race, De Name Escapes Me (J P McManus), alongside his penalised Jesse Evans, the Galway Hurdle fourth who was back to form at Navan on the last day.
⭕ 4.00 Flemington, Tuesday, November 2 (Melbourne Cup) The Caulfield Cup, often a guide to the Melbourne Cup. was won by Incentivise, who has also won the Turnbull Stakes and the Makybe Diva Stakes.
That makes him 4-4 and his penalty for the Caulfield strike makes him a strong favourite though it puts him up to top weight with Spanish Mission, Verry Eleegant and Gold Trip.
Friday, Del Mar, November 5 (Breeders Cup juveniles day) Ray Dawson will partner Zain Claudette in the Juvenile Fillies Turf.
Trained by Ismael Mohammed, Zain Claudette was ridden by Dawson to back-to-back wins at Ascot and York (the Lowther Stakes) but was badly drawn with little chance of success in the Cheveley Park.
Saturday, Del Mar, November 6 (Breeders Cup Turf) Colin Keane will ride Tarnawa in their defence of the Breeders Cup Turf title which they won last year, beating Magical by a length.
Saturday, Del Mar, November 6 (Breeders Cup Turf Sprint) Glass Slippers goes for a repeat win in the Sprint but trainer Kevin Ryan will also be represented by Emaraaty Ana, second in the Nunthorpe and winner of the Haydock Sprint Cup.
Saturday, Del Mar, November 6 (Breeders Cup Filly And Mare Turf) Last year’s winner, Audarya, tries for a repeat in this race for James Fanshawe against Teona, Roger Varian’s Prix Vermeille winner.
Saturday, Doncaster, November 6 (November Handicap) Final day of the Flat in England.
LEAVE IT TO NEWMARKET
⭕ 2.05 Redcar today The mare Last Look travels North as Saeed Bin Suroor’s sole stable representative today but has another Newmarket raider to contend with in Mujtaba, trained by William Haggas. Mujtaba (BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE 3.3) has been a comfortable winner at Chepstow and Chester.
Last Look (a 6.2 offer this morning) also seemed unbeatable at the same stage in her career with a hat-trick in 2019 but was out of form at Meydan at the turn of the year.
A slight drop in her rating, plus first–time cheekpieces, helped her into third of a big field at York earlier in the month.
Empirestatemind, who has improved 20lb in three months (three wins out of four), steps up another class rung here.
Give It Some Teddy is capable on his day but such a day hasn’t dawned more than once in his last 18 starts.
Eagleway went well fresh – and with the benefit of a first-time hood – to run second in the Victoria Cup at Ascot in the Spring, but was out of the frame the last day despite another break and wind surgery.
⭕ 4.00 Leicester Strangely, Afaak hasn’t been seen on the soft since winning the Royal Hunt Cup in 2019.
Third in the Goodwood Golden Mile last year, and returned to form the last day, beaten only a neck by Nugget at Haydock.
Dashing Roger, who won this race last year, had his routine pipe-opener after a break, and could now bounce back to the form of his Whitsun Cup win at Sandown and Shergar Cup Mile at Ascot. BETDAQ 3.5 taken.
⭕ 4.35 Leicester Spoof, a 7.2 offer, landed a hat-trick in the late summer and autumn of last year, and is now down to the same mark for a yard that does well with sprinters.
Ey Up It’s Maggie has run well in big fields since scoring at Carlisle in the Spring but is looking expensive to follow.
Four Adaay is another Springtime winner on the soft but with a poor strike rate (1-13) on turf.
Ventura Flame has a long sequence of places (17 on turf) but she has won only at a low level and only on firm ground.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
