FOUR BANKERS UP IN A ROW: Daqman landed a bankers four-timer spot on for his launch of Cheltenham Week today when he commended ‘a very strong word’ yesterday for Le Prezien (WON 13-8). It was his third winning nap from the last five:

WON 6-4 Roxyfet
WON 11-8 Tangramm
WON 13-8 Le Prezien

THAT’S 19 FROM THE LAST 28: His bankers sequence is now 19 winners from the last 28 – containing five hat-tricks – for a 68% strike rate, with the current sequence:

WON 1-3 Paint The Clouds
WON 5-2 Forgiving Glance
WON 4-9 Mendip Express
WON 13-8 Le Prezien

CHELTENHAM BETTING STRATEGY: Today is Daqman’s final preview of each of the four days at Cheltenham, with his betting strategy and ante-post update, plus the unique way in which you can affect the market and qualify for BETDAQ commission.

BETDAQ CHELTENHAM: EVERYONE’S A WINNER

Stand up for a fair deal! I’ve written several articles recently, decrying the bookmakers and the poor quality of Press service to punters, in terms of tipping and how to make a profit, and explained how to start.

Now you can stand up for a fair deal with BETDAQ in the four days of the big meeting by creating your own market; and reducing your commission.

COMMISSION Make sure you know what price you want, as I discussed yesterday; if you don’t get it, feed your own price into the offers and, if there’s a bite, and the offer is matched, you reduce your winning commission to 2%.

TRADING To get you used to the trading methods I discussed, use a BETDAQ Trading Tool on Wednesday to receive a Commission refund.

FALLERS If a horse in Daq Multiples of a treble or more on the day of the race falls at Cheltenham, BETDAQ settles as a non-runner; that includes unseated rider and brought down.

Check out the terms and conditions. We want you to get a run for your money. We want everyone to win on BETDAQ.

WHICH FESTIVAL FAVOURITES ARE SUSPECT?

BANKERS Daqman bankers are currently scoring at a rate of 68%, and he’s promised to go for the better odds.

LAYS But which of the long-odds-on shots can you oppose; which favourites are suspect? Daqman will reveal all his reasons for laying a horse.

VALUE Where there’s value, there’s gold. Daqman has revealed in his Cheltenham previews how value is about knowing what price a horse should be. Earn a bonus by his staking plan; earn lower commission by making bigger offers, based on what you want.

STAKES Daqman compares his feature-race bets with those of Pricewise, but he bets for value with adjusted stakes to win a fixed amount from 20 or 30 points right up to 50 (bull’s-eye bets) and 100 (ton-up tips).

VROUM! MAG OUR TUESDAY BEST ANTE-POST

9.8 Kruzhlinin (win 50, Ultima Handicap, Cheltenham, tomorrow) trading at around 11.5. Had shortened up but Out Sam (see Festival novices’ chase) switches to this one as favourite. We may have a stakes saver on the day

6.0 Vroum Vroum Mag (win 50, Mares Hurdle, Cheltenham, tomorrow) Most successful ante-post punt of the meeting for us. Price crunched down to around even money.

9.8 Roi Des Francs (win 50, NH Chase, Cheltenham, tomorrow) Switches to the RSA Chase tomorrow. We’ve already punted Blaklion for that but may have to stakes save on Roi Des Francs.

26.0 Out Sam (win 50, Festival Novices’ Handicap Chase, Cheltenham, tomorrow) Switching to the Ultima.

* Lost 2.8pts Champion Hurdle tomorrow, Old Guard

LION HEART OF OUR WEDNESDAY PUNTING

11.0 Blaklion (win 50, RSA Chase, Cheltenham, Wednesday), now 9.8. Roi Des Francs is in this now, a 12.5 offer in the orange as I write.

* Lost 3pts Champion Chase Wednesday, Vibrato Voltat

CAUSES A BIG DEAL FOR US ON THURSDAY

9.3 Bristol De Mai (win 50, JLT Chase, Cheltenham, Thursday), now around 5.6. Nice big-race form by trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies on Saturday

13.5 Road To Riches (win 50, Ryanair Chase, Thursday) now 10.5.

16-1 Martello Tower (win 100, World Hurdle, Cheltenham, with Ladbrokes, Thursday) now 24.0

11.0 Cause Of Causes (win 100, Kim Muir Chase, Cheltenham, Thursday) moved in to 8.4, and now 6.6. Our second best ante-post deal on BETDAQ.

* Lost 4pts Gold Cup, Thursday, Saphir Du Rheu
* Lost 5.5pts Ryanair Chase, Thursday, Vroum Vroum Mag

LONG-SHOTS LIKELY TO END THE MEETING

14.5 Connetable (win 50, Triumph Hurdle, Cheltenham, Friday). Big move in to 5.0 but much easier to back again, around 14.0.

We expect to be betting it big prices in the last two races of the meeting; the Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle and the Grand Annual Chase. Don’t miss them.

TODAY: They race at Plumpton and Taunton but not Stratford which was lost due to waterlogging.

Cliché time but a 2/1 winner at Plumpton pays the same as a 2/1 winner at a certain Gloucestershire venue !!

WHO COULD ASK FOR ANYTHING MOORE?

Can’t wait for the opener tomorrow. I’ve got a cracking bet lined up for the first race of the day that I’ve waited all year for. There’ll be a big roar and they’ll be off for the mares’ novices’ hurdle at Sedgefield at 1.15 !!!

I jest of course, the centre stage action starts at 1.30pm with (another cliché) the curtain raising Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and racing fans will be mesmerised right until the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Chase at 5.30pm on Friday.

I’m hard at work preparing for the big week and guiding you through the BETDAQ VALUE but at the top of the week let’s hope hope it’s a great week and best of luck to all.

Inevitably I’m keeping the powder dry a little today (enough of the clichés, editor). There’s an argument for trying to get some winnings to start the week in front but that’s very short termism and we’ve been building up for months for this week.

The field sizes are quite small at Plumpton and I’m not altogether sure why. It’s soft ground and let’s face it – not EVERY horse in the country is running at Prestbury Park this week.

It’s a big week for Sussex trainer Gary Moore who has suffered wretched luck on the road to Cheltenham – especially with the news that his promising Violet Dancer had to be put down after contracting colic and suffering complications after surgery.

Moore’s big hopes lie of course with Sire De Grugy on Wednesday in the Champion Chase when he attempts to regain his crown.

Ahead of that, Moore can build up some much needed morale with a winner at his local Plumpton today and he looks to have a good chance too at Taunton. Agincourt Reef is very much the obvious one in the four runner handicap chase at 3.15 but looks very hard to oppose in a race where there are massive question marks about his rivals.

Agincourt Reef won at Taunton last time out and looks set to defy his 5lb penalty. Bobbits Way looked the biggest danger but this one is now a non runner.

Moore saddles Bolister in the finale but this one looks far too short. He’s dropped in class but comes here on the back of a 205 length defeat at Sandown and it’s hard to see a case for him at around 3.5 on BETDAQ in a race even as week as this.

Preference is for Directional who himself has to be excused a poor run at Leicester last time out but looks the only one in the race capable of finding further improvement and a reproduction of his debut effort at Uttoxeter could easily be good enough.

Moore saddles La Paimpolaise in the 3.25 at Taunton. She has won both her starts in France over timber and could easily be well above average which she’ll need to be to defy her 6lb penalty.

DAQMAN BETS
BET 9pts win (nap) AGINCOURT REEF (3.15 Plumpton)
BET 6pts win LA PAIMPOLAISE (3.25 Taunton)
BET 4pts win DIRECTIONAL (5.15 Plumpton)
