Not a bad training feat either by Adam West to score twice with the gelding in six days. It was the ninth winner for Daqman since Thursday. Naps sequence:

FORTUNE COOKIES GET A REPRIEVE WITH THE PIER SHOW: ‘I would have ridden Poetic Flare differently’, says Daqman, jockey on the sofa after the Guineas winner came back in the final stages just failing by a neck to offset a superb drive from Frankie Dettori on Palace Pier in the Jacques Le Marois at Deauville yesterday.
Tipping Poetic Flare was in the face of a Fortune Cookie billing for Palace Pier. ‘Apart from the need to exercise my own judgment on the day, I’d found Fortune Cookies languishing on a 43% strike rate; fine if you have a good staking plan but my expectations are always high,’ said the man who now has 76% supernap hits and 75% for Lays Logic.

⭕ 3.00 York, Wednesday (Great Voltigeur) This race has thrown up giants – Postponed 2014, Cracksman 2017 – and is a regular guide to the St Leger (recently Logician 2019).
Last year’s winner was Pyledriver, whose rating going to post of 110 is matched and more by High Definition (113), Sir Lucan (110) and Youth Spirit (110) in Wednesdays’ race.
⭕ 3.35 York, Wednesday (Juddmonte International) A race won by Frankel (2012), and Voltigeur winner Postponed returned to York for victory in it (2016).
Last year’s winner was Ghaiyyath off 127, the same rating St Mark’s Basilica takes to post on Wednesday. Mishriff is on 124.
⭕ 3.35 York, Thursday (Yorkshire Oaks) The fabulous Enable won this twice. Love, who took it off 124 last season, has been dropped to 120, same mark as Snowfall.
⭕ 3.35 York, Friday (Nunthorpe Stakes) Three-year-old winners are rare. None since 2011, and just four this century, off ratings of 112, 125, 104 and 110. Incredibly, four aged three lead Friday’s market, Golden Pal (116), Seisa (119, rec 3lb), Dragon Symbol (116), Winter Power (114).
⭕ Ebor Handicap (Saturday): look out for a 50-point outsider.

⭕ 1.00 Lingfield The two three-year-olds should dominate the opening 1m 4f handicap with preference going to the Hayley Turner ridden Sundayinmay.
Trained by William Knight, it’s quite possible we’ve yet to see the best of Sundayinmay who showed her best form so far when stepped up in trip here last time to 1m 2f (also ridden by Hayley Turner that day). She travelled well but didn’t get the rub of the green in the straight and the further step up in trip should be a positive.
The other three-year-old is Scheherazade who comes right into it on trainer form alone. Hughie Morrison has saddled 7 winners from his last 14 runners but that didn’t include Scheherazade who was bitterly disappointing at Windsor last time out when beaten 17 lengths.
She had previously won well on the turf here on soft ground but was also disappointing on her only try out on the all-weather when only beating one home here.
It’s How We Roll might roll into a place again. He’s Mr Consistent but the overall CV of 1/39 means we can afford to miss him when he does pop up.
ORDER, ORDER
⭕ 6.25 Windsor Tall Order should be the answer to this novice event over 10 furlongs.
The Michael Bell trained runner showed promise in his only start last season when fourth at Salisbury and shaped well again on his reappearance at Leicester last month when runner-up to Marching Army at Leicester.
Although Marching Army then disappointed at Goodwood, the ground looked a valid excuse, and the third from that race, Platinumcard, has won both his subsequent starts.
William Haggas is another trainer in terrific form and his Candleford shaped well enough at Sandown last time out so an improved run on third start looks likely.
HART TO HART
⭕ 6.55 Windsor Glen Esk is in terrific form and bids for a four timer – with two of his recent wins coming over course and distance.
He’s a tricky one for the handicapper as he keeps winning by small margins but his run might be halted here by the Rod Millman trained Prince Of Harts.
Millman is in great form (theme of the day) with 6 winners from his last 25 and Prince Of Harts has the considerable assistance of Oisin Murphy in the saddle.
He comes into this on the back of a good effort at Sandown and looks the value on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
