DAQMAN NAP CUTS THROUGH THE PACK: Daqman continued in top form yesterday when his two biggest bets both won: Cut The Cards (nap, WON 5-4) at Southwell and Solaris Exhibition (WON 5-2) at Stratford.

44 POINTS PROFIT FOR THE WEEKEND: That brings his Saturday-Sunday profit to 44 points, following the big-race double of John Smith’s Cup (Danchai WON 10-1 from 16.0 on BETDAQ) and July Cup (Lethal Force WON 9-2 from 6.2)

It’s been a very different season for champion trainer John Gosden. The man who last year held off the battalions from Ballydoyle is 25-1 for the 2013 title, though currently in top form.

Gosden has slumped to sixth in the trainers’ table, more than a million behind the man he pipped last year, Aidan O’Brien, his prizemoney haul less than £0.5m won. But his form-figures right now are 1021130213.

Elusive Kate’s controversial victory for Gosden in the Falmouth saw a four-year-old dim one of the second-season Classic lights, Sky Lantern.

But tonight at Windsor, Gosden and the lightly raced Ethel could put the boot on the other filly foot, as I take her to outgun the four-year-olds.

The stats have the three-year-olds 6-2 up since 2005 and they finished second in the two where they missed the main prize.

Ethel is by Exceed And Excel, sire of the super miler Excelebration, who made more money in his career than O’Brien and Gosden put together this season but had the misfortune to run into that freak, Frankel.

Ethel (8.00 Windsor) didn’t appear on a racecourse until June 5 and a winning filly – she scored at Doncaster – with the sun on her back is always one to follow.

Ethel is the stable’s sole runner of the day, with the Gosden stats for first time in a handicap running at a convincing 22%, according to the Racing Post.

Zeyran seems stuck at this level (check the collateral form), Serenity Spa beat a long-time loser over today’s CD a fortnight ago, and when Easter Diva won over further here three weeks back, she was beating losers.

Another trainer who does well first time in a handicap is John Quinn, who saddles Many Levels (6.50) off an interesting mark at Wolverhampton, getting 17lb from the favourite top-weight Aloha, who is beginning to look a bit of a bridesmaid.

Many Levels, half-brother to a St Leger winner, steps up to that 1m 6f trip for the first time today after racing over no more than 7f. The 9.0 offers I see on BETDAQ this morning look very tempting.

A trainer they can’t keep out of the frame right now is Paul Cole, currently with figures of 134321. His Motivator colt, Denote (8.50) could beat Capella’s Song, who sets the standard.

I’m also aiming two in a bed at the mile handicap at Ayr this afternoon (5.0), where front-runners Able Master and Suits Me should set it up for the hold-up horses.

Sennockian Star (3.5 on BETDAQ) is unbeaten over the trip and Dubai Dynamo (6.8) loves the course, with a win and close second on his last two starts there, including in this race last year.

DAQMAN’S BETS: (each bet to win 20 points)
BET 8pts win SENNOCKIAN STAR and 3.4pts win DUBAI DYNAMO (5.00 Ayr)
BET 2.5pts win (Special Bet) MANY LEVELS (6.50 Wolverhampton)
BET 6.6pts win (nap) ETHEL (8.00 Windsor)
BET 5pts win on each DENOTE and CAPELLA’S SONG (8.50 Wolverhampton)
