DAQMAN NAP NOSED OUT AT 17-2: Celebrating an 11-1 strike on Saturday, Daqman paid most of his dues yesterday with Maybe Not (WON 9-4) but the party pooper was defeat by a nose for My Margie (2nd 17-2), his long-odds nap at Southwell.

BLAST OFF FOR SPACEWOMAN

⭕ 3.18 Leicester Two divisions of an apprentice handicap are followed by a maiden fillies’ stakes at the top of the card but there looks to be a bet in this six furlong fillies handicap where Spacewoman looks good for the Henry Candy team.

The filly makes her nursery debut off a realistic mark having shown promise in all three of her races to date with her best effort perhaps coming on the all-weather at Lingfield last time out.

She is preferred to Perfect Location who won at Southwell in July but then had her limitations exposed at class 2 level at Newmarket last month when 11th – in fairness not beaten too far. She is unproven with give in the ground and her trainer Tom Ward is 0-13 with his recent runners.

Most of the remaining rivals are starting already to looks a little exposed with the expiation of Piazza who is now a non runner.

LET YOU INTO A SECRET

⭕ 5.05 Leicester Dream Illusion will again have her supporters but is 365542 since winning on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in May and I prefer to look further down the Betdaq Betting Exchange market in search of better value.

Andrew Balding’s Secret Sonata hasn’t done a lot wrong in her three starts to date and despite being allotted top weight here has a fair chance of making a winning handicap start off her mark of 70.

She was stepped up to seven furlongs at Southwell last time and ran well in third behind runners from the Crisford and Dunlop stables in what looked a well above average race for the course.

TIME FOR A NAP, MAYBE

⭕ 8.00 Wolverhampton This Time Maybe is a sporting nap to start the week. The Mark Usher trained runner is the only previous course and distance winner in the field who goes well for tonight’s pilot George Bass.

His exuberant style of running makes him a challenging ride but the ability can’t be questioned and he comes into this in far better form than most.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
