20-1 JACKPOT PICK FROM SEVEN EASTER-MONDAY MEETINGS: Though the horse is with a trainer and jockey from the very top of the tree, Daqman’s Irish Grand National jackpot pick was a massive 21.0 on BETDAQ this morning. Here’s his summary of seven of today’s Bank Holiday cards.

CHEPSTOW: The forecast rain should create the perfect good-to-soft surface for the highly-regarded Oscar Davy (4.35), who blew them away at Fontwell and drops back a couple of furlongs on today’s more galloping track.

Ditcheat’s only runner here, Black Thunder (2.15), is two out of two for Daryl Jacob and could be another to put in your traditional Bank Holiday multiples.

FAKENHAM: Sarah Humphrey is the local hero at Fakenham with Jack Doyle doing the steering. The combo are 100% in sellers and claimers, and Barnhill Brownie (2.05) is depth charged in class, plummeting from an Ascot handicap.

FAIRYHOUSE: 4.50 (Irish Grand National): The forecast rain would change the complexion of this very open race, handing the reins to such as Groody Hill, Cross Appeal, Some Target and Paddy Pub.

But, as I write, with goodish ground, I give a massive chance to Aigle d’Or at 21.0 on BETDAQ this morning on his late flourish when he didn’t get the run of the race in the Paddy Power Chase.

He’s been over to Ireland before, including for the Galway Plate (third). He’s the right age and weight; he’s with our leading yard numerically and has the runaway top jock from the Cheltenham Festival, Barry Geraghty, doing the steering. What more do you want?

The answer is ‘luck’, so we need at least one other arrow in the quiver, and super-consistent Four Commanders, a full brother to a Gold Cup winner, who didn’t quite get the 4m at Cheltenham looks ideally suited to today’s trip.

He is the improver of the race, has more potential than most and is the same young age as last year’s winner: 12.5 on BETDAQ at time of writing.

HUNTINGDON: There’s a decent class-3 chase (4.40), in which The Falklander will take some beating, with his penchant for jumping right-handed and with Henry Daly’s yard absolutely flying.

But the ‘wrong’ price is Glens Boy, on offer at 7.6 on BETDAQ, as I write. He’s in and out but, if this is an ‘in’, the horse that beat subsequent Grimthorpe Chase winner, Ikorodu Road, at Newbury must surely be thereabouts.

PLUMPTON: Rocky Ryan has been hard to get right and a 12lb rise for ‘getting beat’ (albeit by a subsequent winner) might allow Mrs Peacock (6.00) to score for Tim Vaughan, who won the same race last year with a lightweight.

WARWICK: James Fanshawe did me a big favour with Captivator (WON 7-1, in from 10.5 on BETDAQ) on Saturday, when Kieren Fallon was booked for the job.

The Fanshawe-trained Mac’s Power (3.20) looks ‘got up’ for the sprint today, with Fallon again entrusted, and with hood and first-time tongue-tie fitted (I’ve always wanted an excuse to say ‘tongue-tie fitted on ‘Mac’’).

YARMOUTH: Godolphin jocks Frankie Dettori, Mickael Barzalona and Silvestre De Sousa line up here but my pick of the meeting is the grey Glass Mountain (5.20) for Fanshawe as value at 5.6 against Junket, who has won only his maiden.

In fact, Highlife Dancer appeals as a bigger danger, having had a run back and with Mick Channon scoring almost as freely as his old club, Southampton, in the last few weeks.
