DAQMAN NAPS KING GEORGE WINNER FOR THREE OUT OF FOUR: Daqman had no doubt about yesterday’s King George. He made Long Run (WON 15-8) a jackpot bet as long ago as Thursday and napped him yesterday. It was his third winning nap in four days after Cedre Bleu (WON 5-4) and Guest of Honour (WON 9-4).

BACK-TO-BACK JACKPOTS FOR 90 POINTS PROFIT: And it was his second Christmas jackpot winner following immediately on Saturday’s Bakbenscher (WON 4-1 from 8.6 on BETDAQ). That gave him an overall profit yesterday of more than 60 points, bringing his total earnings to 90 points in the two days.

TREBLE UP AND NO LOSERS: Long Run was the lynchpin of doubles and a treble, started by Dynaste (WON 8-13) and completed by Hellorboston (WON 10-11). Just the three horses in Daq Multiples.

12.55 Kempton (Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase) With last year’s winner Sprinter Sacre the king-pin, Nicky Henderson has hit strike four times in the last six runnings of this race, with form-figures in that time of 113211.

Simonsig has been beaten only once in the 10 races he has completed, six out of seven under Rules, and has won his last two starts by a total of 64 lengths, including – in his first race over fences – defeat of three-time chase winner Sulpius, fair skipping round at Ascot. Acts on heavy.

1.25 Leopardstown (Grade-1 Chase) Big Zeb has won this three times in a row (didn’t race in 2009) but was well beaten by Sizing Europe in both the Champion Chase and the Tied Cottage Chase, both at Punchestown.

Edgardo Sol (Tony McCoy) is half their age and would be a potent threat if recovering the form of his 14-length Red Rum Chase success at Aintree in the Spring. Sizing Europe should win but Edgardo Sol is the ‘wrong’ price at offers of 14.0 on BETDAQ. Good place bet on a track which will suit.

1.30 Kempton Bunglasha Lady slammed Madame Jasmine at Plumpton. Gets this trip and more but a slender CV suggests that she is hard to keep sound.

Miss Milborne, a 3m winner up the hill at Towcester, drops down from Listed level: gives weight all round and Kaffie (first run after injury) could get closer than she did over CD in November.

The CD winner Swincombe Flame (4.9 on BETDAQ this morning) is back from chasing, has run in much better company than this, and is only 6lb higher than when winning the Lanzarote on today’s course over 2m 5f. Can she stay the trip today?

One Lucky Lady finished well up the final climb at Sandown on her first run back over 2m 4f. She needed the outing, just as she needed her first run last season, and could be better than ever this. She’s only four, so a lot being asked of her today, but a lot promised for the future.

2.05 Kempton (Peterborough Chase) The Ascot form of For Non Stop and Ghizao got a massive boost from Captain Chris yesterday. Ghizao is a CD winner.

Menorah may need better ground. So, too, French Opera, who was the ‘moral’ at Newbury (second but giving weight) over Sprinter Sacre early in the year.

With the race absolutely wide open BETDAQ offers provided a fabulous 102% book of offers this morning. Whatever your fancy, the prices are right.

2.00 Leopardstown (Future Champions Grade-1 Novice Hurdle) Only one winner in the last decade has carried more than 11st 7lb; none has been older than five.

Those stats are a double blow in both cases for Rory O’Moore and Run With The Wind. And it’s an acid test for Waaheb, who has raced only once in around 20 months.

It all suggests that we want to be with Jezki and Sizing Rio. Official ratings say that Jezki has 7lb in hand of the field, 11lb on Sizing Rio but any one of the four-year-olds can take a sudden leap forward.

2.40 Kempton (Desert Orchid Chase) Alan King and Nicky Henderson have won two each of the last five renewals, in which there have been no winners over the age of eight and none below 11st.

That seems to set up a battle between Kumbeshwar and Sanctuaire, second and third to Sprinter Sacre at Sandown. Sanctuaire needed the run that day and could close Kumbeshwar right down but the King youngster is the heavy-ground lover of the two.

Thanks to a near-round book of BETDAQ offers (101%), I can back Kumbeshwar at 5.9 and save on Sanctuaire,.. maybe even back both; depends how the day, and the market, progresses.

3.10 Leopardstown (Grade-B Chase) From eight (one a reserve) owned by J P McManus, Tony McCoy has chosen an old hoppo of his, Colbert Station: they won a very decent hurdle together a couple of years back, and Colbert Station went close off a similar rating in a Grade-B at Leopardstown in March.

Glam Gerry, fifth in the Racing Post Hurdle last month, will also be strongly supported, as third horse home in the Byrne Group Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last March.

But favourites haven’t hacked this for seven years now, with winners at 25-1 and 33-1 (twice) among the returns. Eight of the last 10 carried 10st 8lb or less.

If you are ever going to have another back-and-lay, it’s Action Master: he travels like a dream in his races but finds little off the bridle.

The one they’ve overlooked is Romanesco (37.0), whose run at Navan can be ignored, according to in-form trainer Goron Elliott. Remember Gordon won last week’s big race at Ascot with a 25-1 shot, Cause Of Causes.
