‘NED’ GETS THE NOD FOR 5.8 NAP: You could call him Daqman’s first horse to follow for the jumps season: Simply Ned may be ring rusty at Wetherby today but rated his nap this morning on the strength of ‘fabulous’ 5.8 offers on BETDAQ, with any losses sure to be redeemed in the future.

FIVE BETDAQ RACES: There are five Betdaq-sponsored races on the Kempton Park evening card, in which Daqman grabbed two odds-against offers for singles and a double, expecting them to go odds on tonight.

The market was in hot form yesterday. It blew away my morning tips and was the guide to every punter’s pocket. We have no excuse today: we just keep our Daq up for Kempton all day, and follow confidence and weakness, bet or lay, as it all happens.

Here’s some of the heat in yesterday’s winners: Tunnager Grove forecast 2-1, won 10-11; Hillstar 2-1 from 100-30; Another Trump 7-2 from 8-1; Lucky Money 7-2 from 10-1; Majestic Dream 9-2 from 10-1; Hard Road 2-1 from 6-1; to name but a few, as they say.

I managed to be the only tipster in the country to select one of Richard Hughes’s losers among his 10 two-day winners. Do I get a badge for that?

Nicky Richards hasn’t really got off the ground in the jumping game yet but will be surprised if one of his good prospects, Simply Ned (3.25), fails to launch his season with success at Wetherby, or nearly so.

A fabulous 5.8 on BETDAQ this morning makes him worth a punt, even while he’s ring rusty. You won’t get those odds again for a while. I see him as a sequence horse.

5.40 Kempton Park (Win Big With Betdaq Multiples Nursery): I shall be laying Prince Of Prophets, with trainer Stuart Williams both currently out of form (1-11) and in the doldrums over time here at Kempton (33 losers in 279 days) and even worse at Nottingham, where he’s fired 47 blanks in six years (so I can’t fancy Ginger Ted, 4.50).

You wouldn’t want to put your faith in John Spearing in this Kempton contest either: he’s four years without a winner, though he’s saddled 51 starters, on tonight’s track.

There’s one chance to see Kirsty Milczarek tonight but, unless your Daq watch shows otherwise, she has no chance on Jackpot, who has started 33-1, 50-1 and 66-1 the last three starts.

There’s something missing from (he’s been gelded) and something added to (blinkers) Persian Marvel. May also needs wings. But he could improve for all this physical engineering so watch for a market move. Since he’s 11.0 this morning, I will anticipate support for him and take a bit of that for an early position.

6.10 Kempton Park (Back or Lay At betdaq.com Handicap): As a CD winner twice, Rightcar had leapfrogged the front two forecast favourites in this when I checked around 9 a.m., but I shall not back a horse trained Peter Grayson until the day a politician tells the truth.

I would prefer another Yorkshire raider, Ivestar, with Mick Easterby trying to get a second bite at the cherry before the handicapper intervenes after his Catterick win.

But that was in first-time visor on the soft and the gelding is 0-10 on AW. My confidence wanes. I’d want more than the 6.4 on offer this morning.

Hoods (Copper Falls and Ladydolly) and blinkers (Blueberry Fizz) make three of these runners difficult to assess but Ladydolly’s yard is another that’s gone around six years without a winner on this particular track.

Long-time maiden Illustrious Lad (6.0 on BETDAQ) finally got off the mark dropped back to today’s minimum on today’s course. Could be the making of him.

6.40 Kempton Park (Betdaq Mobile Apps Claiming Stakes) The ratings give Marford Missile the edge, but only just, on Eternal Gift in his bid for a four-timer, as Richard Kingscote’s only ride of the night. But odds on in a claimer?

Not my idea of a bet, particularly when I have to latch on to the end of a sequence (Frankel excepted), which could ‘bust’ any day.

7.10 Kempton Park (Betdaq Casino Games Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, Division 1): Shuruq took the market by storm early doors. Godolphin are hot on this track and Shuruq ran third at Newmarket to the Fillies’ Mile winner, Certify.

She should have no excuses from stall 1, with the other form horse, Hanzada, drawn out in the car park in 12. But beware the unknowns from top yards (Gosden, Stoute, Botti).

It was one of those conundrums: if I waited to see if one of theirs is fancied later on, I would miss the odds against Shuruq. Ok, I’ll take 2.2.

7.40 Kempton Park (Betdaq Casino Games Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, Division 2): Chris Wall, top of the hot-trainers list, has just the one runner tonight, Rocksilla.

She has to overcome a bad run of rides here by Seb Sanders, who is a long way down the jockey rankings these days with only 26 winners this season.

There is an even stronger turnout of top yards in this division, and John Gosden’s Newmarket debutante, Reqaaba, went clear in the market this morning. Again I grabbed some odds against (2.52).
