BETDAQ VALUE IN THE BULLET: DAQMAN landed a 37-1 double at Sandown yesterday, with Harb, early around 10.0, and Min Huna, who is a pointer to more outsiders in BETDAQ value offers today and a big-priced nap at Beverley in the Bullet.

WON 17-2 HARB
WON 3-1 MIN HUNA

LOOK OUT FOR THE SECRET The Secret is a ‘hidden horse’ in the Irish Cambridgeshire at the Curragh.

BIG BETDAQ VALUE BALOO

⭕ 1.50 Sandown Wide open with the total of BETDAQ offers at around 102% this morning. Oppose the favourite and you are betting in underround.

Maybe unexposed horses coming back fresh to battle can land win or place at tempting offers.

Both Mr Baloo (11.0) and Sir Les Patterson (23.0) won first time up at Kempton in the Spring; both 3yo; both back after long breaks (Sir Les now gelded).

Both top-jockeyed up (William Buick and Billy Loughnane) as if they mean business.

Only one other three-year-old in the race and that’s one who does well at Sandown (form figures 112): but Spanish Blaze is from the Marcus Tregoning yard, which is 0-9 unless Quietness has won earlier today at Beverley.

Waiting All Night won 2-3 inside 14 days in August (holds Star Of Orion) and might be another a bit jaded, not to mention being on a mark higher than for his last 13 starts.

Fifth in the Wokingham, Glenfinnan is upped to 7f for the first time since scoring at Ascot last year at this time. Another at 10.0 or so, with Oisin Murphy booked.

DOOM HAS A PLUM DRAW

⭕ 2.25 Sandown (Atalanta Stakes) It’s 5-5 between winners of this 1m Group 3 aged three and four. The low four stalls have won 8-10 in the decade, which could spell Doom for the favourite, Tamfana (gate 7).

David Menuisier described Tamfana as the best in the 1,000 Guineas but the unluckiest, denied a clear run after two out.

That was on officially good ground at HQ, though the time was slow and Tamfana has raced mainly on the soft, even heavy.

Her form-figures (3434) suggest that something other than bad luck has been getting in the way, though – fair’s fair – she has given a good account in three consecutive at Group-1 level.

The return to a mile should suit Doha who faded in the final furlong of the Nassau Stakes (a length and a half behind Elmalka who had been a length up on Tamfana in the Guineas).

Doom has never been out of the first four since her debut, failing to give 8lb to a 3yo at Ascot (Group 3) in July but has a plum draw (out of 2) and the winner at Ascot then made all in a Group 2, beating the Saint-Alary winner, the last day at Deauville. So not quite there yet but her form is strong.

Betdaq Betting Exchange Tamfana is too short at 2.42 for what she has nearly done on different ground. In 103% total offers, win and place Doom was attractive this morning at 9.8, where Doha’s 6.3 to 7.1 was not.

CHESTER SUITS PHYSIQUE

⭕ 2.40 Chester Under Siege seemed to struggle to get on top to win his maiden at Chelmsford two weeks back but the race was slow run and earlier form looks hot.

Well drawn in 3 today, the grey was beaten just a length and a half in the Spring by subsequent Dante winner, Economics, now only 3-1 for the Champion Stakes.

Then, after a break, was slowly away in the Windsor novices won by Min Huna, who stormed away with a handicap at Sandown yesterday, the one-two pulling nearly five lengths clear of the third. BETDAQ 5.9 Under Siege.

Carrytheone (5), third in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, should like the track, as should freegoing 12.0 Irish raider Physique (8), who made all from a big field at Galway.

One who has crashed a stone down the ratings in the last year or so is Boardman (4), closely handicapped with Yanifer on Chester form here earlier in the month. BETDAQ 8.7.

Two Tempting (7) was hampered in the Golden Mile at Goodwood after four wins out of five this year but drifted in the markets this morning.

‘SECRET’ HIDDEN HORSE..

⭕ 4.35 Curragh (Irish Cambridgeshire) Seven out of 10 winners have been drawn 16 or higher into the 20s.

Yet Coeur d’Or, winner of the 2023 BMW Mile at Galway, followed up in the Cambridgeshire with steering by Chris Hayes from the one stall as neat as any magic motoring that ever came out of a Munich factory.

Who did the Welding and streamlined the seven-year-old for action; none other than Dermot himself, the king of the Curragh.

Coeur d’Or and Johnny Murtagh’s Blues Emperor were one-two in the Cambridgeshire last year and four-five in this year’s BMW but Ben Coen’s choice of the Murtagh contingent – he has three runners – is Shayzann.

Shayzann (stall 5) has won only his maiden, always a bad sign. The same applies to Genuine Article (19).

Hidden horse of the race is Vera’s Secret (12), who turned a low-level race into a procession here in July. ‘Could be anything’ is the phrase we use. BETDAQ 10.5

Also unexposed is Colin Keane’s 7.1 offer, State Actor (23), unlucky in running in the Derby Festival Stakes here, bidding for a hat-trick. Now 9lb better off with the winner, Booyea, and had Blues Emperor behind.

ALBASHEER BEST IN BULLET

NAP OF THE DAY Albasheer, badly drawn or badly away the last twice, has Hollie Doyle back on board (she deserts Blue Storm), Ascot winning partnership in July which will be favoured by this tough 5f of the Beverley Bullet (2.05), yet 6.7 on Betdaq Betting Exchange.
