SATURDAY SEARCH FOR VALUE: Daqman today reduces 10 racecards down to the races of quality and the value in handicaps. He finds 9.1, 9.7, 10.5, 14.5, 19.5 and 22.0 are attractive on BETDAQ and he has naps in both France and England later in the day.

YORK NEXT WEEK: Daqman’s full service of stats and facts and BETDAQ value at the four-day Wednesday-Saturday York spectacular.

DEAUVILLE: BIG ADVENTURE

⭕ 12.58 Deauville (2yo Listed) Joseph O’Brien’s Apples And Bananas, entered in all the top juvenile tests, comfortably beat a subsequent winner of Aidan’s when they met in a Killarney maiden, even though he was giving 7lb.

Joseph also saddles Cap Saint Martin (Michael Barzalona), but is putting Dylan Browne McMonagle on Apples And Bananas.

⭕ 2.50 Deauville (2yo fillies Group 2) McMonagle also rides Ollie Sangster’s Princess Margaret winner, Simmering, beaten just threeparts of a length by Fairy Godmother in the Albany at Royal Ascot.

Jessica Harrington’s Va Va Vroom was green at Gowran but still managed to dispose of 16 others and ’could be anything.’

Fraise Des Bois has landed a four-timer for Jean-Claude Rouget but her form is in the French Provinces only and this is a huge leap in class.

⭕ 3.25 Deauville (Group 2 fillies and mares) A low draw is useful here even in a small field, which has Andre Fabre’s consistent Ottery (in 2) in a Gosden sandwich between their Lancashire Oaks fourth Sweet Memories (1) and One Evening (3).

One Evening was Park Hill Stakes runner-up at the Doncaster St Leger meeting last year. The winner, Sumo Sam, runs earlier today in the Geoffrey Freer at Newbury.

Three-year-olds have won this Deauville race three times in eight seasons but have just the one contender today, Aventure, Group-3 winner at today’s trip at Chantilly before going back there a fortnight later to be beaten just a length in the French Oaks.

NEWBURY: GO DADDY, GO!

⭕ 1.50 Newbury (Geoffrey Freer Stakes) Al Aasy is a 10-furlong horse who has to be produced at the right time. Doesn’t enjoy a prolonged battle.

Sumo Sam won back-to-back Group 2 on soft and heavy last autumn and this will set her up for the autumn season.

Front-runner Al Qareem has been difficult to place since winning the Cumberland Lodge last October and today’s ground may be a negative.

Firm conditions and a drop in trip will help Roberto Escobarr’s comeback bid for his third trainer in the last year or so.

But three-year-olds are 5-7 in this and, with so many flaws in the older horses, the progressive Go Daddy could make his allowance tell. BETDAQ 9.1 taken.

⭕ 3.00 Newbury The last two winners are back for this 7f handicap, with Documenting aged 10 now and Spangled Mac (stall 14 last year) now in the low draw.

Lethal Levi, a 6f winner here in May, was fourth in the Wokingham and second in the Bunbury Cup (7f).

They are unlikely to cope with two progressive three-year-olds: the entire stable has been behind Waleefy, making him favourite all six starts. Half-brother to Baeed and Hukum. BETDAQ 5.3.

Spanish Blaze (BETDAQ 9.7) has only ever been out of the frame at the start and end of his season, and has progressed 11lb from 6f novice to 1m handicapper. The drop back to 7f improves his chance.

⭕ 3.35 Newbury (Hungerford Stakes) The main body of the field concerns older horses – 5 and 6 – but they’ve won just twice in 20 years.

Buckingham Palace winner English Oak was disappointing in a Group 2 at Goodwood and the three-year-olds look formidable opponents.

After five in a row as a juvenile, the filly Folgaria won the classic-trial Fred Darling Stakes but failed to place in Group 1, though not disgraced in the French 1,000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

This 7f Group 2 would be her re-emergence but for the presence of Kikkuli, beaten only a short-head by Haatem on good to firm in the Jersey Stakes at Ascot, after that one was placed in both English and Irish Guineas.

RIPON: TAKE YOUR TIME 22.0

⭕ 2.45 Ripon (Silver Trophy) The last seven winners were drawn in double-figure stalls (16, 20, 20, 14, 18, 10, 10), so any price you take from the high numbers may have a built-in edge.

In high gates with their BETDAQ offers this morning are back-to-form Another Baar (10.5), last year’s winner Roundhay Park (3lb lower now at 11.0), hat-trick seeker Ray Vonn (7.2), and CD winner It Just Takes Time (22.0, who has dropped 26lb down the handicap.

⭕ 3.20 Ripon (Great St Wilfrid Handicap) Results by stall 13, 10, 19, 15, 17, 19, 6, 6, where lightweights (on 8st 7lb) broke the mould in the last two seasons.

This year a huge advantage in the ratings (Ramazan 103) has forced down all other weights below 9st, where Kitai (stall 2) is back to form after a change of stable; and Aramram (from the one stall) is unexposed after five starts.

From the high stalls, Manila Scouse (14) is likely one of those to take them along, while stable-companion, the lightweight Monks Dream (17), is related to a Nunthorpe winner.

Richard Fahey has Oisin Orr on Dare To Hope (16), who has run well in top handicaps despite draw disadvantage, and Cam Hardie (12) on Rock Opera, who seldom runs a bad race.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 14.5 Rock Opera, 19.5 Amramram
