After his Thursday nap on Stick To The Board (WON 1-1), he took 4.7 offers about the William Haggas trained Power Fizz (WON 2-1) at Newcastle last night. Is this an omen for today‘s Lincoln Handicap?
ALL THE FACTS AND FORM: Look back, look forward. Stats, trends and early-bird trainers appeared in Daqman on Tuesday and Wednesday for today’s start of the Flat at Doncaster. Now read on for his form analysis and headlines on the card:

⭕ 3.32 Doncaster (Lincoln Handicap): Galeron is 4532 at Doncaster, including fifth in the Lincoln last year off 7lb higher, beaten only a couple of lengths, giving 9lb to the third horse home, Orandi, who two weeks earlier had won the Irish Lincolnshire.
Down the field in the same Curragh race 13 days ago, despite strong support, possibly targeting Doncaster this time around, though he’s not so attractive now as an 8-year-old.
Shout was fourth in the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot in October as a three-year-old, with Orandi back in 8th, Great Acclaim 14th.
Tribal Chief (7th) had excuses that day (short of room) and both trainer David Menuisier and jockey Sean Levey are bullish about his chances now. The stable won the 2023 Lincoln with an 18-1 shot.
Karl Burke, whose Balmoral favourite, ran fifth, saddles instead new acquisition Botanical off 104. Third in the Doncaster Mile at this meeting a year ago when rated 110.
William Haggas, last year’s winning Lincoln trainer, now runs Eternal Force, on a four-timer here on the back of an autumn sequence which took him 13lb up the ratings, prompting the stable to name him as potentially their Lincoln horse.
Third when Galeron was runner-up over a mile here on heavy in October, Valvano had been 5th in the 2024 November Handicap.
Down in trip, Valvano needs rain, as does Alpha Crucis.
La Botte is talked up, very lightly raced but we have only his firm-ground Britannia second at Royal Ascot to go on. Rogue Diplomat is a 7f horse so far.
COX PAIR ROW MY BOAT..
⭕ 1.50 Doncaster (Cammidge Trophy) LAYS LOGIC: No outright favourite has won this 6f Listed in the decade.
The last two winners, Montassib (from gate 5 now out of 1) and Spycatcher (from 3 now out of 4) meet last year’s hampered fifth James’s Delight (BETDAQ 8.8), a Group-2 winner in Ireland last Spring.
His Clive Cox stablemate, Jasour (BETDAQ 8.7), who has run in nine Group-1s, takes a steep dive down to this Listed level.
BELGRAVIAN FOR BALDING
⭕ 2.08 Kempton (Queen’s Prize) Belgravian began a sequence of 4-5 here, stepping up two grades from a class-5 starter.
Andrew Balding also runs Northumberland Plate winner Spirit Mixer but he flopped in this race in 2024.
Another trainer doubly represented is Ian Williams. Lavender Hill Mob has won from 1m 4f on the Flat to 2m 5f over hurdles. BETDAQ 18.5.
The same stable’s Trojan Storm is the ‘hidden horse’” an Ascot winner over 1m 6f but kept to shorter trips since. BETDAQ 28.0.
IRISH DANDY DRAWN LOW
⭕ 2.25 Doncaster (Spring Mile) LAYS LOGIC: No outright favourite has won in 12 years.
DRAW: Winners of this Spring Mile (stalls 4, 15, 5 and 4) and the Lincoln (1, 12, 2 and 3) have come from the same side in the last four seasons.
Dublin trainer Stephen Thorne sends over Irish Lincolnshire fourth, Far From Dandy (stall 1) at BETDAQ 10.0, and the big-field winner in Ireland, the grey Naples(2), has his first start for Steph Holinshead at bigger than 50-1. So maybe the low draw is a Lincoln force!
Desperate Dan (stall 13) is the only CD winner in the field and was an early punt for this when the weights came out. BETDAQ 15.0
GAMRAI 10.5 FOR GOSDENS
⭕ 2.42 Kempton (Rosebery Handicap) Low draw wins almost every time: 1, 9, 1, 1, 5, 1, 6, 6, 6.
Mustazeed from the one stall is 0-6 on AW and can refuse to race. But Team Gosden’s well-related Gamrai (gate 2) could be anything after ‘his’ gelding op. BETDAQ 10.5.
Marhaba Ghaiyyath (3) tries this trip for the first time and his stable is out of form (1-19).
King’s Code (4) won the Middle Distance Series Final over the CD here in November and, though 12lb higher, has done well since.
Military Academy (5) well handicapped on some Graded and Listed form and claimed off, but hasn’t won a race since November 2024.
Whitcombe Rockstar (BETDAQ 6.6) is 2-2 at Kempton this year and 7-12 here overall. Stall 6 and weighted to close down Chelmsford conqueror Kings Code when he didn’t get a clear run.
