THREE DAQMAN NAPS UP OUT OF FOUR: It was a pinstickers’ day at Goodwood yesterday, with winners at 14-1, 20-1 and 22-1, and all week it’s just 1-1 between Daqman and Pricewise (40-25 overall). But those sticking to Daqman’s naps have had three winners out of four and a place at 13-2. He’s had 37 winners in the 29 days of July, and wants 40 by the end of the month.
WON 4-5 REBEL’S ROMANCE (Friday, Glorious Stakes, nap, evens on BETDAQ)
WON 6-5 NASHWA (Thursday, Nassau Stakes, nap)
WON 11-4 SECRET STATE (Wednesday)
WON 14-1 FOREST FALCON (Tuesday from 19.0 on BETDAQ)
WON 6-4 KYPRIOS (Tuesday, Goodwood Cup, nap)
54.0 FINAL FLING FOR GOODWOOD: It’s Stewards Cup day and Daqman fancies a flutter at BETDAQ offers of 15.5, 19.0 and 54.0.

DATE WITH DESTINY AT 19.0
⭕ 1.40 Goodwood (Stewards Sprint Cup Consolation) Stone Of Destiny, eighth in the 2019 Stewards Cup off 100, followed up with a win at Ascot the same week. Can he land another quick hit as consolation?
I spent a pound on him here on Tuesday and all sorts went wrong in the race. He still finished within four lengths or so of the winner, 15lb lower than when he started the year. BETDAQ 19.0 this morning.
5.2 START IN BUICK SWITCH
1.55 Newmarket After six winners took him to the top of the tree as Goodwood jockey of the week, William Buick switches to the Newmarket July Course today, with rides in all seven races.
Queen Of Deauville can get him off the mark at morning BETDAQ offers of 5.2. Beaten by soft ground the last day after coming out of the pack in the Queen Mary a couple of lengths behind The Platinum Queen, who won at Goodwood this week.
That Fox Degree was getting 17lb from the runner-up was a big help in winning at class-4 level, while Immortal Beauty’s latest defeat was in class 5.
CEMHAAN SET FOR REVENGE
⭕ 2.10 Goodwood Soapy Stevens goes for a hat-trick here only 3lb higher than when bursting through the pack to score at the July Meeting (Trawlerman hampered and hooded now; Red Flyer second, Sam Cooke fourth). This 1m 6f is a race his Team Johnston yard has won four times in seven years.
Hollie Doyle’s mount, Cemhaan, is 2-3 and might already be boasting a hat-trick but got no run whatsoever in the Duke Of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot.
Valley Forge, fifth to Cemhaan (Soapy Stevens third at levels, Golden Flame seventh) at Newmarket in the Spring, beat Golden Flame (also the Johnstons) narrowly over 2m at Haydock but is now 3lb worse off.
The one they came for early doors was Baque D’Or, who has good form linked to Secret State, one of the finds of the week at Goodwood.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 6.6 Cemhaan
POPMASTER ASCOT POINTER
⭕ 3.20 Goodwood (Stewards Cup) You need at least one on either side, with this cavalry charge throwing up winners from stalls 1 twice, 3 and 4 twice; plus 22, 23, 25 and 26 in the decade.
Three-year-olds apart, winners usually come from quality horses set 9st 1lb to 9st 10lb (six winners including the last five); 3yo have also carried 8st 12lb (twice).
Popmaster (stall 3 today) was runner-up in the Wokingham, with Mr Wagyu (stall 20 now but with a 6lb penalty) fourth, Summerghand fifth.
Runner-up in the Wokingham before a Stewards Cup victory already applies to Summerghand who is in 10 this afternoon but defied gate 17 off a mark 7lb higher that day in 2020. Golden Mile winner yesterday, Jason Watson rides.
Gulliver was beaten a neck last year out of 22 on soft. He has the one stall now and the same 100 mark but age is catching up and the track is still riding firm. The one who beat him to the prize last year, Commanche Falls, swaps 23 for gate 19 and is 2lb higher.
Great Ambassador, third then out of stall 7, is in the scrum in the middle (12) now, and 8lb higher. Coachello (gate 17) takes a keen hold and stays up to 7f.
Method (24) was third at Sandown to Raasel, though bumped inside the final furlong, and Raasel was beaten only a neck in the King George sprint yesterday. Method goes up 2lb in future ratings.
Regional (27) will need all of Ryan Moore’s skills; gets behind early and needs some stoking; always held though went down only a neck at Doncaster. The extra furlong will help.
BETDAQ value 14.5 Popmaster, 19.0 Summerghand, 54.0 Method
KOY KOY ON THE UPGRADE
⭕ 3.55 Goodwood Koy Koy (BETDAQ 6.1) stepped up from class-4 success at Newbury in September to a class-2 strike at Newmarket a fortnight ago. Ryan Moore is booked and I expect him to be prominent early from gate 7.
He could get a lead from Positive Impact, who tried to make all over a mile against Jimi Hendrix the last day. Jimi Hendrix was badly drawn in yesterday’s Golden Mile; so, too, Positive Impact out of gate 10 today.
Zero Carbon landed a hat-trick when edging out Spirit of Nguru (gave 9lb) on the soft at Haydock but that was the Spirit’s seasonal debut and better ground should suit. BETDAQ 7.2.
FALCON CAN SWOOP AGAIN
⭕ 4.30 Goodwood Forest Falcon, who won for me at BETDAQ 19.0 on Tuesday, can follow up today at 5.3 morning offers on the exchange, with a 5lb penalty wiped out by Harry Davies’s allowance.
The Falcon had no problem returning back-to-back wins last summer and followed a neck defeat at Ripon by success at Redcar in the same week this Spring, so keeps his form well.
Ajero has never won on the Flat , while Bolthole, General Lee and Kitsune Power have scored only at class-4 level; Rainbow Colours in class 5.
Dutch Decoy, marked down in one paper as a Team Johnston front-runner, goes for a hat-trick after twice winning from the rear! He is also claimed off and ideally placed (stall 17) for a wide run from off the pace
BETDAQ value 5.5 Forest Falcon, 24.0 Dutch Decoy

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
