WON 6-5 MERCHANT (THURSDAY supernap)
WON 6-5 WHIRL (one-two with CIRCENE 2nd 11-1)
WON 8-1 OMNI MAN (WEDNESDAY)
WON 9-2 TABITI (dead-heat)
STEWARDS CUP STALLS PUZZLE: Daqman checks out the draw for the Stewards Cup and has a final-day flutter with his famous bull’s-eye bets.
DANIELLE RATES THE NAP
GET among the good offers on the final day at Goodwood with astonishing 102/103% overrounds on BETDAQ for my first two races this morning, though last year’s 1.55 race was 122% SP and the Stewards Cup 136% SP. You can back two or three in each race with such percentages on your side.
⭕ 1.55 Goodwood David Probert will want to get away well on Subsequent, who ruined his chance at the start the last day. He won four out of six last season including at this trip on soft at Ascot but was 20.0 on BETDAQ at 10.30.
Aeronautic, Wonder Legend, Feigning Madness and French Duke (who won at this meeting last year), all reappear on this more suitable easy surface after the firm ground of Royal Ascot.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 5.9 French Duke, 8.6 Aeronautic
⭕ 2.30 Goodwood Term Of Endearment, last year’s winner for Henry De Bromhead, could score back to back for his new yard. BETDAQ 4.7.
Isolated among J P McManus hopes in a week of Galway runners is Goodie Two Shoes, looking for a four-timer but not sure to like the ground.
As for Danielle, making her reappearance but a big stable tip, it’s her favourite! BETDAQ 7.3 nap.
THE FAVOURITE ONE YEAR ON
⭕ 3.05 Goodwood (Stewards Cup) Near side or far rail? As Christophe Soumillion came wide on Align The Stars, Oisin Murphy had lined up better ground on the far side with Kyle of Lochalsh, finishing almost 10 lengths clear, in yesterday’s opening marathon.
That was that for the day! Whether it was the ground or jockeys following the trend – or both – stalls 1 and 3 then won two big races, the Golden Mile and the King George sprint, and stall 4 won the nursery.
🔢 STATS: The last five winners of the Stewards Cup scored from stalls 17, 19, 23, 15, and 28 but low numbers were dominant before that (stalls 1, 4, 1, 25, 3).
As usual on the soft, repeated use of one side could leave better turf on the other side and, with half the field separated by only 5lb, it still looks like the kind of lottery winning SPs of the last eight years reveal: 10-1, 18-1, 20-1, 22-1, 25-1 (twice), 40-1.
Far side
Orazio (3) from the Charles Hills stable that has provided two of the best Stewards Cup winners in recent years: Magical Memory (2015) and Khaadem (2019) from stalls 1 and 3.
Frustrating sort (third in last year’s Wokingham) but suited by cut in the ground and has a low draw in 3.
Purosangue (6) beaten favourite in this last year, can turn back time! Neck second to Big Evs here as a juvenile.
Ninth in this year’s Wokingham but 6lb better off with the winner, Get It.
Completely Random (out of the one stall today) was fifth but has no soft-ground form.
Middle
Jakajaro (18) was running on over 5f here earlier in the week and tries to follow Rhoscolyn and step up quickly at a more suitable trip.
Near side
Annaf (24), a winner on soft, first leg of back-to-back success in the autumn of 2023, the second leg in a Group 3. Back to form again in June.
Two Tribes (25) won the 7f International last weekend; hasn’t scored over shorter since August 2023 and was last of seven on his only soft-ground appearance.
Get It (27) Made all in this last year when 6lb lower and worse off with runner-up Apollo One and the sixth horse, Strike Red.
Apollo One (28), second the last two years, including on heavy ground, is on his lowest mark ever, claimed off 7lb.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 14.5 Jakajaro, 16 Purosangue, 24 Apollo One, 43 win 7.8 place Orazio
SON TO SCORE A FINAL 50
⭕ 4.55 Goodwood As Son leaves Spurs, we leave Goodwood with a 16.0 strike: come on, my Son!
The final betting prize of the Glorious meeting to stay in Sussex, via local trainers David Menuisier (Toimy Son BETDAQ 16.0) or Gary Moore (Alpha Crucis 9.3).
Toimyson won the Golden Mile at this meeting last year; Alpha Crucis (Colin Keane booked) loves Goodwood loves mud.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
