MAJESTIC KAMEKO PAYS FOR CAMBRIDGESHIRE FLUTTER: Convincing and majestic. Kameko (WON 85-40) triumphed for the Fortune Cookies yesterday, blowing away archrival Benbatl in fast time. Daqman just missed a big-race double when Getaway Gorgeous was beaten a short-head in the Ladbrokes Hurdle at Listowel. Kameko pays for a blow-out feast of bets on Cambridgeshire day today, traditionally a day of Daqman flings, made possible by sensational BETDAQ value.
40 STRIKE AGAINST PRICEWISE WITH NAP UP 125 POINTS: Kameko gave Daqman a 40th Flat-season winner over Pricewise of the Racing Post (scores now 40-25) with a gap of 163.70 between them to level stakes. Daqman’s nap is 125.50 in profit for September.

Power Of Darkness (stall 19) Unexposed sort, three of his last five races have been over this Rowley Mile course. Back-to-back mile wins at Salisbury and Ascot last summer. Quiet run back here in June, and huge at 39.0 on BETDAQ.
Afaak (20) He’s 7lb lower than when 18th behind Lord North in this last year, and well held in mile races by Tempus the last twice.
Data Protection (21) Improved a stone this year, dual winner over 1m 2f, and Nicola Currie gets on well with him. Needs more.
Al Rufaa (22) A Kingman, like Bell Rock, and with Kingman’s trainer. Has won only at 7f but has stamina on illustrious dam’s side and Frankie Dettori rides. Connections taking a punt before 1m Group entries.
Tempus (23) Four wins out of five. Connections think Tempus is a Group horse but are ‘having a roll’ at this handicap, despite a penalty for winning at Ascot three weeks ago. Holds Walhaan (stall 1) on that form, but 4lb worse off with King Carney (stall 9; needs rain) for threeparts of a length on Newbury form.
Bell Rock (24) Course winner over a mile; Royal Hunt Cup sixth; third over 1m 2f at Goodwood (kept on well).
Majestic Dawn (25) A 1m 2f winner on heavy at a lower level; recently moved to Paul Cole and blinkers now applied.
Balgair (26) Career highest mark after scoring over CD at a lower level in amateur-riders’ Cambridgeshire. Needs a lot more.
Lucander (27) Three out of four last year as a two-year-old on any going, and back to form over 1m 2f plus at York in August. Fifth Position (18) 6lb better for two lengths on York third but Lucander had gone clear.
Tulfarris (28) Bridesmaid form of 222 at a lower level over a mile and not won since racing in French provinces.
Dubai Mirage (29) A double-whammy of Godolphin stock as a son of Dubawi out of a Shamardal mare. Lightly raced and not yet the finished article, but won well at Haydock in August
LOW-DRAW HAGGAS TRIO
Montatham (2) Wlliam Haggas. Three out of four at a mile in his first campaign since being gelded until beaten favourite stepped up to Listed level at Sandown. Freegoing sort makes his first attempt beyond the mile.
Sir Busker (3) gets a pound for neck defeat by Montatham at York. Strong off a good pace, and swerved a Group 2 earlier in the week for this.
Sinjaari (6) William Haggas. A nearly horse at this and longer trips last year but, gelded, won the John Smith’s Cup at York (1m 2.5f); up 8lb and probably needs rain over this shorter distance.
Ilaraab (12) William Haggas. Four wins in a row, the last two at 1m 2f. Only made his debut in June and it’s been progress all the way. Holds Good Birthday (10) on Newbury form.
Derevo (11) Comes out on a par with Fifth Position after their Doncaster race in June, but not knocked about this season and has a big chance if there is pace to chase.
PACE: Low to middle may get some pace from Mutafani and King Carney but Jim Crowley will have to hold on to Montatham if he is to get the trip.
The high numbers have four front-runners in Bear Force One, Data Protection, Majestic Dawn and Zhui Feng.
VERDICT: I shall take one on each side, Tempus and Derevo, with Power Of Darkness my best outsider.
ORDER IN: 1 Tempus (7.7), 2 Derevo (9.0), 3 Power Of Darkness (39.0), 4 Lucander (22.0), 5 Sinjaari (20.5).
LUCKY LOOKS PICK OF JUVENILES
⭕ 1.50 Newmarket (Royal Lodge Stakes) Frankel (2010) and Roaring Lion (2017) won this on the way to better things, as they say. But not generally a guide to the future.
Group-3 winner Cobh and Curragh Futurity third (Group 2) Ontario have already done well in the Pattern.
This is first of a series of tests for juveniles today, including the Cheveley Park and Middle Park Stakes and the Beresford in Ireland. Lucky Vega (3.00 Newmarket) is the pick in them.
⭕ 2.05 Haydock Three-year-olds have won six of the last eight, despite a low turn-out of 19 runners in total fields of 76. Danyah (BETDAQ 3.65), who handles an easy surface, was continually baulked at Ripon the last day.
⭕ 2.25 Newmarket (Cheveley Park Stakes) The Irish domination of the last four years now relies on Miss Amulet to make it five in a row, and a worthy hat-trick for herself.
She was too strong for Sacred in the Lowther Stakes at York, and these could be similar conditions today, where they’re kicking the top off after showers on a surface that had sunshine for several days. William Haggas tries cheekpieces to make up the ground.
Dandalla hasn’t been seen since completing a hat-trick on the July Course after taking the Albany at Royal Ascot by six lengths.
Since those days, Happy Romance has also completed a hat-trick and Umm Kulthum has won a Group 3, franking the form of the Lowther, in which she was no match for Miss Amulet and Sacred.
I’m tied to my Fortune Cookie Dandalla but will have a stakes saver Miss Amulet (4.0), since I could get offers of 6.5 Dandalla on BETDAQ early mouse.

⭕ 2.40 Haydock Horses aged three and four have shared the last eight renewals of this 6f handicap. I took 5.8 Count D’Orsay.
Come From The Dark is better off at the weights for a half-length defeat in the Be Friendly here by Count D’Orsay, but Tim Easterby’s well-drawn Dandy Man gelding held his form well when he hit target last season.
3.00 Newmarket (Middle Park Stakes) Lipizzaner is an enormous 18.0 on BETDAQ this morning for Aidan O’Brien, who has won this twice in the last three years.
