DAQMAN IS TOP OF THE WORLD: Daqman goes on a round-the-world trip today with tips and previews in 10 Saturday races from Kelso in Scotland, Newbury in England, The Curragh in Ireland and Meydan in the UAE. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND NAP

⭕ 2.05 Newbury Lalor had failed to score for 40 months before Paul Nicholls patched him up to wn this last year. Can he do the same with Espoir De Guye? The BETDAQ market says ‘maybe’ at 5.7 this morning.

⭕ 2.25 Kelso Flower Of Scotland is 3-3 here. Trainer and jockey Sandy Thomson and Ryan Mania won the feature hurdle at the last meeting here three weeks back with Benson. BETDAQ 5.3.

⭕ 2.40 Newbury Daqman had 8-1 winners in this two years running with Roksana and Annie Mc.

It’s a race I’ve always liked but what worries me this year is that Ruby Island, Royale Dance, Moviddy, Blue Beach and Fortuna Ligna all have first-time aids: blinkers, cheekpieces and tongue-ties.

We are left guessing which will show improvement for their new attachments.
Limiting the choice to mares aged five and six, who mostly win it, I’ll try Royale Dance for the Skeltons, a 13.5 offer this morning.

⭕ 3.35 Kelso Mighty Thunder is around two stone lower than his mark after winning the 2021 Scottish Grand National; ran well in the Eider and has his ground today.

BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE 10 Mighty Thunder

CURRAGH: HEAVENS ABOVE

⭕ 3.25 Curragh (Irish Lincolnshire) STATS and facts for this meeting were in Daqman Thursday and Friday.

J P McManus, who owned four winners at Cheltenham and has had five more since, could land a double across the cards today with Good Heavens in this first big Flat-turf handicap and Chirico Vallis (5.00) at Newbury.

Good Heavens, fit from hurdling and one who stays further than a mile on the Flat, and low-drawn I Am Superman, who ran in a Group/Graded race in Australia and at Meydan earlier this month, have fitness advantage.

Fitness should not worry the English raiders. George Boughey (Totally Charming) and William Haggas (Lattam) have been in cracking form over the winter.

Totally Charming has won first time in both of the last two seasons, and has won on heavy.

If the winner comes from the high-stalled half-dozen, it could be Totally Charming (22) or Mashhoor (29), whose Johnny Murtagh stablemate Carrytheone has stolen the headlines but who is himself a winner here over further.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 7.8 Totally Charming, 13 Good Heavens, 28 I Am Superman

GIRLS STAR IN THE MUD

⭕ 3.57 Curragh (Park Express Stakes) With Aidan O’Brien running a handicapper (Delightful though she may be), this first Group race of the year could go to Henry de Bromhead; he saddles a filly who scored when fresh on deep ground last Spring.

Star Girls Aalmal went on to finish fourth in both the Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Insinuendo who was second in this last year, was second twice more until third in the British Champions Fillies and Mares, with ‘short of room’ and ‘not clear run’ noted in two of those returns.

Was she unlucky or making her own trouble? She is six now and it would be a disappointing result if she beat the younger animals. If this goes to ratings, Star Girls Aalmal pips the penalised Agartha by a pound.

BETDAQ value 9.2 Star Girls Aalmal

MEYDAN: REAL WORLD CUP

⭕ 3.10 Meydan (Dubai Turf) Forget the Godolphin Mile (12.05), the Dubai Gold Cup (12.40), Quoz Sprint ( 1.15) and UAE Derby (1.50); they’re worth a pittance alongside the last three races you will see on ITV.

This Dubai Turf is worth five times as much as the early races at £2.5m; the Sheema Classic which follows has £3m to the winner; and the Dubai World Cup £6m.

Just one of those would set up an English prime minister for life; well almost.

John and Thady Gosden prepped Lord North (Frankie Dettori) for the Dubai Turf in brilliant style at Lingfield.

He’s won it twice before but, now aged seven, would be the rarest of animals to beat the youngsters, four of them already besting or equalling his rating, as he bids to top £4m in prizemoney in his career.

The Japanese, Serifos and Danon Beluga, have a slight ratings advantage; Charlie Appleby’s Saratoga Derby winner, Nations Pride, is alongside him but badly drawn.

Some 5lb his better is well-drawn Real World (BETDAQ 7.4), who needed his run back three weeks ago, his first since last June.

One of five top rides on the day for Oisin Murphy. Wouldn’t that be a world-stage comeback to savour!

⭕ 4.00 Meydan (Sheema Classic turf) I would like to see Irish Derby winner Westover take this for Ralph Beckett and Ryan Moore.

The Japanese have the most likely winner in Equinox (around evens favourite), who has captured two Grade/Group 1 grand prix over the winter.

But Breeders Cup Turf winner Rebel’s Romance, yet to taste defeat, is pleasing Charlie Appleby, despite missing his prep race. BETDAQ value 6.0.

FRANKIE’S GRAMMER LESSON

⭕ 4.35 Meydan (World Cup dirt) Good luck to clan Crisford with Algiers (James Doyle), going for a hat-trick on the course.

Frankie Dettori has an extra furlong on last year’s winner, Country Grammer (BETDAQ 4.7), with which to catch their Saudi Cup conqueror, Panthalassa. Both are drawn high which should ‘waste’ front-runner Panthalassa and allow Frankie that late run.

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
