DAQMAN CUP SENSATION AT 33-1: With the match between Daqman and Pricewise poised on 199 winners, Daqman smashed into the offers on BETDAQ yesterday, grabbed the 200th winner at 8-1, then picked as FIRST choice in the Imperial Cup the gallant Ebony Express (WON 33-1) for another sensational Saturday. His winners in time order were:

WON 8-1 As De Mee
WON 4-1 Mindurownbusiness
WON 33-1 Ebony Express

217 POINTS SATURDAY PROFITS: His profit on the day at recommended stakes was 86.75 which, added to the last two winning Saturdays, gives a grand total (to the nearest point) of 217 points, with previous winners in the last two weeks:

WON 8-1 Rocky Creek
WON 5-1 Grendisar
WON 5-1 Rivellino (NAP)
WON 7-2 Sound Investment (NAP)
WON 5-2 Glingerburn

THAT’S 131 WINS OVER PRICEWISE: Daqman has now hit 131 wins over Pricewise since November, 2013. As well as a warning for Cheltenham in the 33-1 scorer, it was an early flag for the Flat to get the 4-1 winner of the Ladbrokes Lincoln Trial.

NOW FOR A CHELTENHAM PROFITS CHARGE

What to do with a wallet full? Invest it wisely at Cheltenham. That’s what I’m hoping to do on your behalf in the world’s greatest steeplechase arena.

I’ll be upping my bull’s-eye bets to ton-up (win-100) status and I’ll be looking for gold, even diamond, bankers in a profits charge up the Prestbury hill. And the cavalry will be strengthened by some judicious lays. Current sequence: 11 in a row.

TOMORROW: Ante-post betting round-up and latest news of the runners and the going. Laying off and trading. Adjusting our targets.

TUESDAY: They’re off! The first of 27 races in four days is the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, for which I’ve already warned there is a dark horse, a disguised contender.

WEDNESDAY: The Champion Chase. Could you write the script. The last two winners were crocked but make successful comebacks and now face the new kid on the block

THURSDAY: The Ryanair Chase, the punters’ favourite. The Ladbrokes World Hurdle? Well, something’s gonna steam!

FRIDAY: As I said this week, the ‘Mercurey’ is rising. And it’s the day of the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Don’t miss a single race. I won’t.

BETDAQ TOP-OWNER BET A FESTIVAL BANKER

It’s the hottest race of all. Three owners are locked within a point of each other in the BETDAQ market for top owner at the festival. But to me, there is only one winner.

You don’t want to bet odds on at Cheltenham? Then imagine that you can hold several aces from the front of the markets, without having to play them individually, or even to accumulative odds.

You simply have to play them as a hand against the weaker picture cards held by only two other opponents. Just one bet. That bet is 2.82 Mrs S Ricci (Rich Ricci).

I’ll bet 11 points win to pay me 20, as a cover for half my ante-post bets. A full list of them will appear in the column tomorrow. Meanwhile, here’s my reason for the Ricci bet:

RICH RICCI: ‘Annie Power is our best chance of a winner in the Mares’ Hurdle, though yes I was tempted by the World Hurdle, but Willie Mullins wasn’t!

‘We have big hopes in the Champion Hurdle (Faugheen), the Champion Chase (Champagne Fever), Supreme Novices Hurdle (Douvan), Arkle (Vautour), Triumph Hurdle (Dicosimo), Champion Bumper (Au Quart Du Tour after winning Saturday’s Sandown bumper with Babylone Des Motte) and the Gold Cup (Djakadam).

GIGGINSTOWN Clarcam (Arkle), Valseur Lido (JLT), Don Poli (RSA), Very Wood (NH Chase), Petite Parisienne (Triumph Hurdle), Lieutenant Colonel (World Hurdle), Roi Du Mee (Cross Country), Edeymi (Pertemps), Don Cossack (Ryanair).

J P McMANUS: Alvisio Ville, Jollyallan (Supreme Novices Hurdle), Hargam (Triumph Hurdle), Jezki (Champion Hurdle), Cause Of Causes (NH Chase), Carlingford Lough (Gold Cup)

NOBLE BOOST FOR VERY WOOD IN NH CHASE

NAAS It’s Gigginstown v McManus in three strong races at Naas today. A hood and a tongue-strap are the persuaders for Golantilla (2.55) as he bids to redeem his less-than-gutsy finish at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Gigginstown attack him from three different stables, with Identitiy Thief (Henry de Bromhead), Net d’Ecosse (Willie Mullins) and Prince Of Scars (Sandra Hughes).

But on the better gtound, I’m taking a bit of 5.2 Henry Higgins for J P McManus and Barry Geraghty. A dual winner on good ground in the summer and autumn, it’s hard to find against him for subsequent efforts on soft-heavy.

A brilliant jumper, he ran up to the same owner’s Kitten Rock on today’s course in November, first of that one’s four-timer which put him on the Champion Hurdle trail.

Then he took some of the very top novices in a race won by Douvan, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite for Tuesday.

Barry Geraghty again sits in the McCoy saddle for J P McManus on Noble Emperor (3.30), who should appreciate the drop back in trip after running up (over 3m) to Very Wood, subsequently a short price for the NH Chase at Cheltenham, also on the opening day.

MARKET RASEN With McCoy resting up for Cheltenham, Dougie Costello takes the ride on Fort Worth (2.35) for Jonjo O’Neill, an early-mouse gamble on BETDAQ this morning.

Venetia Williams, who was back among the winners on Friday, sends Rosa Fleet (4.40) on a 300-mile round trip to the Lincolnshire track, a course winner who’s dropped 10lb down the handicap and has always looked as though today’s 3m would suit.

WARWICK Best bet at Warwick may be a French import making his debut for Alan King, Malak Des Mottes, another early-mouse gamble. Owner J P McManus. That’s where I came in.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked 1 to 9; banker 10 points)
BANKER: BET 10pts win (nap) FORT WORTH (2.35 Market Rasen)
BET 5pts win HENRY HIGGINS (2.55 Naas)
BET 7pts win NOBLE EMPEROR (3.30 Naas)
BET 4pts win ROSA FLEET (4.40 Market Rasen)
DAQ MULTIPLES: 3pts win treble FORT WORTH (2.35 Market Rasen), MALAK DES MOTTES (3.15 Warwick) and NOBLE EMPEROR (3.30 Naas)
ANTE-POST: BET 11pts win Mrs S RICCI (RICH RICCI) for Leading Owner (Cheltenham Festival, Tuesday to Friday inclusive).
