50.00 AND 19.00 WINNERS FOR DAQMAN: ‘50.0 bet in the loop’ was a Daqman headline yesterday and the Kelso tip it covered, Leloopa, won eight lengths at 22-1 SP. Daqman had already named 8-1 Newbury winner Bhaloo at 19.0. That gave him three bull’s-eye hits in two days, all staked to win 50 and making an overall profit of 111 points.

Saturday: profit on the day 76.50 points
WON 22-1 LELOOPA (bull’s-eye bet at 50.0 on BETDAQ)
WON 8-1 BHALOU (bull’s-eye bet AT 19.0 on BETDAQ)

Friday: profit on the day 34.50 points
WON 9-1 FIERCE WARRIOR (bull’s-eye bet 9.9 on BETDAQ)

HAMPTON CAUGHT AT 12.0

🔑 Golden Rules: Daqman plans to start the Flat on Lincoln Day at Doncaster on Saturday, with more bull’s-eye bets.

One thing that will not change in the market place is the value available in the BETDAQ morning offers.

Meanwhile, for the Naas Flat meeting in Ireland today, we should remember the lessons we have learned in this column before at the start of a new season.

⭕ 2.03 Naas Rule No 1 with a race for three-year-olds: this year is this year, last year is last year.

The form of two-year-olds has to be tested before you can bet on them the following season. And you don’t know which stables will strike early.

⭕ 3.48 Naas The favourite has won this handicap only once in 10 years. Who would have guessed that, when it finally came good in 2023, it would be the subsequent Irish 2,000 Guineas winner!

Is Serengeti another Paddington for Aidan O’Brien?

I shall test the water (it may be raining in Ireland) with a wayward pound on the stable that is 2-2 already in these early days.

David Marnane runs one that beat a big field on very soft ground at the Curragh after a long break in October (that’s almost recent form, alongside many of these!)

East Hampton is well drawn in stall 2 and offered at 12.0 on BETDAQ at 10 a.m, with 4.6 Serengeti.

The O’Brien Irish Guineas entry this time around is the Lope De Vega colt, Mississippi River (2.38).

GRAIN AT A BIG VALUE 10.5

⭕ 2.45 Carlisle (One Man Series Final, 2m chase) No winner of this has carried more than 10st 6lb, though three of the four finals were held on soft-heavy ground. It’s good today, which gives a chance to those with higher weights.

The going is a boost for eight-lengths winner of the Doncaster qualifier, Grain d’Oudairies, but the qualifier Glory And Honour won at Newcastle was for the 2m 4f Monet’s Garden Final (good), though he has scored over shorter.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 5.1 Glory And Honour, 10.5 Grain d’Oudairies

HUGHES’ STROKE OF LUCK

⭕ 3.20 Carlisle (Red Rum Series Final, 3m chase) One More Stroke has won three times for ex-champ Brian Hughes, looking more at home over staying trips. BETDAQ 9.3.

When Red Happy scored here in December, 2023, he was completing a hat-trick at around 2m 5f and, when he won here two weeks back, it was the second leg of a double over further. BETDAQ 6.1

Harry Cobden is reunited with Harjo for the first time since they won at Wincanton in December, 2023.

That he’s pulled up in six races out of nine since then but won at 25-1 confirms that Harjo is ‘a thinker’, a bit of a Mr Incredible, but maybe Harry has the key.

Jamesiconn and Emotional Roller, both youngsters with light weights, were well-backed winners in lower grade. Now they try cheekpieces to give them a step up. Emotional Roller needs rain.

LOUIS TO LAND KNOCK-OUT

⭕ 3.55 Carlisle (Monet’s Garden Series Final, 2m 4f chase) Lucinda Russell, who made it four winners from six with a double at Kelso yesterday, has a good-ground winner, Indian Louis, who has finished second each time in two tries at Carlisle, the last one in February with 12st.

Now better off with the winner that day, Hello Judge, who is said to be unsuited to good ground. BETDAQ 5.9 taken.

Jennie Candlish, who landed seven winners in eight days recently, has an exciting youngster, Yealand (BETDAQ 4.3), raised only 8lb for figures of 1231 from December to February.

He has been on holiday since then, despite another win to his name; it was a walkover!

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
