6-1 BIG-RACE HIT AND 11-2 NAP: Daqman has landed both big-race winners at the Cheltenham November Meeting, following L’Eau Du Sud in the Cheltenham Chase on Friday with a bull’s-eye bet on Panic Attack in the Autumn Gold Cup, with nearly 9-1 taken on BETDAQ. The icing on the cake was Kikijo, an 11-2 nap for two best bets out of three since Thursday.

Saturday: profit on the day 58.25
WON 6-1 PANIC ATTACK (BETDAQ 9.9)
WON 11-2 KIKIJO (nap)

Friday: big-race one-two

WON (w/p 3rd 12-1) KING’S BUCKS

Thursday: profit on the day 34.16
WON 8-15 MOON OVER AMERICA (supernap)
WON 9-4 PESCATORIUS (BETDAQ 4.0)

SKELTONS FACE CHALLENGE

⭕ 3.30 Cheltenham (Greatwood Hurdle) LAYS LOGIC: The last favourite to win was when Detroit City beat a small field in 2006 but, since then, 16 have scored between 7-2 and 12-1, with just a couple of big odds winners. That cuts the field in half!

No horse over the age of seven has won since Rooster Booster (2002) and I think that will hold good after today, even though Faivour (10) is trained by Dan Skelton.

The stable play here is surely with Mirabad, Harry riding for Dan. A winner at the December meeting here last year, he is bred by the Aga Khan’s Arc-winning studs on the lines of a Calandagan.

Serious Challenge, a Group horse for Jim Bolger, improved two stone under Fergal O’Brien in winning three novice hurdles. Has to make another leap here but with the right handler if he’s good enough.

Castle Carrock has won only his maiden hurdle and Alan King has gone off the boil: his last 14 runners have been missing strike (six placed without winning), as have his last three favourites, all beaten into a place.

Welsh Champion Hurdle runner-up, Alexei has won well at Ascot recently and trainer Joe Tizzard, scored here on the opening day with Eldorado Allen.

The yard has had 25 out of 33, still standing, finish in the first three in the last two weeks but Alexei’s best form is on good ground. Watch the market!

Iberico Lord won this race in 2023 and beat L’Eau Du Sud in the big handicap at Newbury in the Spring of 2024 on heavy.

Nicky Henderson claims his team is ‘a fortnight’ behind but beware the wily owl of Lambourn; watch the market!

Gibbs Island has made good progress since moving to Tom Lacey; much more needed in this company.

King William Rufus ran well at the October meeting here but is eight now and has never won on soft so connections will hope to see signs that the ground has been drying out.

It’s nearly a year ago since Laafi, a dual handicap winner on the Flat for William Haggas, won his maiden hurdle for the Durkan stable. He’s 1-1 in blinkers and headgear is back on today.

The Dublin yard last made the headlines in 2022, landing Screaming Colours a 10-lengths winner of the Midlands Grand National at 12-1.

DAQMAN’S BETDAQ VERDICT: 6.3 Mirabad, 8.2 Serious Challenge, 35 Laafi (5.4 four places)

ROQUE LET-OFF FOR O’BRIEN

⭕ 1.45 Cheltenham Joseph O’Brien is 3-3 in the current jumps season over here and Kim Roque, three times a hurdles winner in France, loves the mud and has got in lightly off 123.

Joseph has a similar opportunity with Klass Langy (2.20); the difference is that this ex-French is not facing hurdles that are easier than Auteuil but English fences at Cheltenham.

⭕ 2.05 Fontwell (Southern National) We have to splash a bit of cash on rampant Puddlesinthepark (five chase wins this year), with 10lb-claimer Osian Radford bringing down his weight nearly two stone below the favourite, Unanswered Prayers. Betdaq Betting Exchange 21.0 (3.0 four places).

⭕ 2.20 Cheltenham Jamie Snowden has been striking at a barely credible 46% (11-24), the 11 winners coming in 12 days’ racing.

Torneo is more than equal to his master in consistency with 7-7 placed, still standing, in one year of chasing, since 4-5 placed over hurdles.

PROTEKTORAT’S NEW TARGET

⭕ 2.55 Cheltenham The Skeltons would just love to make this career move work for Protektorat, who returns to long distance after beating Djelo and running second to Jonbon over nearly a mile shorter early this year.

You need to watch the market for Midlands Grand National runner-up Tanganyika, with Venetia Williams not in full stride but the seven-year-old temptingly nearly two stone off Protektorat.

Beauport (goes well fresh) won that Midlands National in 2024 and the ‘Twistons’ are trying to match the Skeltons, trainer and jockey, with their strike rate.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
