SIX-HIT DAQMAN 115 POINTS UP: Daqman yesterday took his profit to 115 points with three bull’s-eye strikes among six winners in three days. Aidan O’Brien, who trained his St Leger winner, Scandinavia, tries to double up with the Irish version today.

DELACROIX LANDS THE CHAMPION Christophe Soumillon fired in a treble for Aidan O’Brien at the Irish festival at Leopardstown, capped by a decisive move on Delacroix in the Irish Champion Stakes. Today the festival moves to the Curragh.
LEGER WAS A FAST-RUN RACE
⭕ 2.30 Doncaster (City Of Doncaster Handicap) A downpour just before the Park Stakes yesterday handed the prize to Marvelman and ensured that stamina won the St Leger though, while the race after it was 4secs slow, the Leger itself was won in fast time, such was the power in a Classic field.
This 7f handicap starts on soft and only God Of War and The Waco Kid are winners with such give underfoot, though the grey outsider Brighton Boy (cheekpieces back on) has scored twice on good to soft.
The snag with having decent bets on them is that this is a race for three-year-olds, and hidden in the big field may be a surprise soft-ground horse held back for the autumn.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 19.5 God Of War, 25.0 Brighton Boy, 39.0 The Waco Kid
ASFOORA! SHE IS FLYING..
⭕ 2.40 Curragh (Moyglare Stud Stakes) Venetian Sun, the filly who beat colts in the Morny, faces another triple winner of her own sex, Composing.
Composing is one of three Aidan O’ Brien runners, giving him the chance of creating a killer pace to blunt the filly’s speed and find any flaw in her stamina.
⭕ 3.15 Curragh (Flying Five Stakes) All eyes on Asfoora, the firm-ground Nunthorpe star. She has won on the soft in her native Australia and gets top marks for this.
The ground suits Art Power, British Sprint Champion of 2023 and his stable was in form at Doncaster with another very fast sort in Revival Power. BETDAQ 5.7
Erosandpsyche (BETDAQ 80.0 and 7.8 for three places) was second in this race on the soft last year and progressive Bucanero Fuerte (6.4) won on heavy ground as a two-year-old.
WHO IS A BATH SPECIALIST
⭕ 3.43 Bath (Summer Sprint Series Final) Tony Carroll, who has won this race before, saddles the super-consistent soft-ground winner, Cindy Lou Who (form-figures 11 at Bath this year). BETDAQ 4.1.
Sandown winner on soft Four Adaay is ridden by George Wood, who had a double up on Friday, and trained by Rod Millman who has sent out five winners in 12 days’ racing. BETDAQ 6.8
ILLINOIS GETS LEGER BOOST
⭕ 3.50 Curragh (National Stakes) Gstaad was pipped in the Morny by Venetian Sun, who will have franked the form 70 minutes earlier in the Moyglare or given that race and the advantage here to Gstaad’s stablemat Composing. Watch the races; watch the markets.
⭕ 4.25 Curragh (Irish St Leger) This is an all-aged Leger in which Classic-season animals like the progressive Amiloc have been eclipsed five years running, mainly by four-year-olds who go on to be Cup stars.
Front-running and still improving Al Qareem should ensure a strong gallop for Melbourne Cup targeted Al Riffa.
But this is Christophe Soumillon’s big moment to land a Classic for Aidan O’Brien with Illinois, boosted by his close second at Goodwood to yesterday’s Doncaster St Leger hero, Scandinavia
KEANE FOR RED LETTER DAY
⭕ 5.00 Curragh (Blandford Stakes) Colin Keane has been in the shadows of surging form by Christophe Soumillon and Oisin Murphy.
But he is super confident of Red Letter, who turned the tables here last time on Barnavara, and this race has been won six years running by a three-year-old. BETDAQ 3.25.
