ORDER, ORDER! LINCOLN FIVE, THREE, TWO, ONE FINISH Daqman did an Eric Morecambe in the Lincoln yesterday. His top five produced the right equine notes but not in the right order. They finished first, second, third (dd ht) and fifth but were tipped the reverse way round! Auxerre was the second winner on the Flat already for Early Birds, the embryonic Fortune Cookies.
DON’T MISS 25-1 HITS ON BETDAQ AT DONCASTER TODAY At Doncaster today, Daqman has 25.0 and 26.0 BETDAQ bets. Yesterday’s opening-day-of-the-Flat winners were:

⚫ Flat-season score so far: Daqman 1, Pricewise 1
⚫ Daqman -5.50, Pricewise + 4.00 to single unit stake

TRAINERS: WHAT DID I TELL YOU
Early-bird stables had a hat-trick yesterday. I listed their Doncaster runners for Saturday and they had three winners: Show Me Show Me (WON 11-4), Auxerre (WON 5-2), Sharja Bridge (WON 8-13).
The four horses in the list for the 3.00 race contained first, second and third! Let’s see how these stables do again today:
2.00 Doncaster Courtside, Right Action, Queen Penn, Proud Archi, Magic City
2.35 Doncaster Country, Fox Champion, Franz Kafka.
3.10 Doncaster Buridan, Camacho Chief, Danielsflyer, Gabrial the Devil, Cold Stare, Quick Look, Penwortham.
3.45 Doncaster Willie John, Crowned Eagle, Tamleek.
4.20 Doncaster Indomeneo, Delph Crescent, Stonific, Saryshaggan
4.55 Doncaster Flying Dragon, Embrace The Moment, Mrs Hoo
STOUTE STAR RATES THE NAP
2.00 Doncaster If you match up the stats – a four-year-old (six wins in seven seasons) plus Richard Fahey (three since 2013) – you get Queen Penn but the Dark Angel grey seems to prefer soft ground.
Yesterday, despite 0-16 in 14 days, Fahey landed a double across the cards at Doncaster and Kempton.
The stalls also fooled us: 3 and 2 won the first two straight miles but the Lincoln’s first four came out of gates 17, 22, 14 and 11.
Proud Archi from the one stall that has won this race three times since 2013 is with an early-bird trainer and has scored first time twice in the last three seasons, yet 25.0 on BETDAQ.
3.10 Doncaster Proud Archi’s trainer, Michael Dods, had Jawwaal in this sprint well backed overnight with the bookies. Raced at the major venues last season and won twice at 7f for John Gosden, but is held at today’s trip by early-season winner Buridan on form. Buridan is 7.8 on BETDAQ as I write.
James Tate’s team were straight on parade to take an early salute yesterday when his Invincible Army won the opening race of the Flat season from Major Jumbo for Kevin Ryan.
Tate runs Royal Residence here over the same CD against last year’s winner Naadirr, one of two in this for Ryan, who also saddles Tommy Taylor.
Naadir is a huge price in this for a former Cammidge Trophy winner: 26.0 on BETDAQ this morning. How Far has been prepped for an early strike and has Silvestre De Sousa booked: 7.2.
If you list only top-of-the ground 6f races for Gabrial The Devil you get 411 but, as he’s owned by Dr Marwan Koukash, we maybe should wait for Chester in May.
4.20 Doncaster I can’t resist Sir Michael Stoute’s first turf runner, Shareef Star (BETDAQ 3.7 this morning) who was runner-up, giving weight, to Piece of History before that one ran second to yesterday’s runaway Lincoln Handicap winner, Auxerre, later last season.
A GOLDEN DAY FOR NICHOLLS
ASCOT I hoped that Paul Nicholls had promised to sing My Way in an impromptu karaoke at Ascot this afternoon, should he notch up his 3,000th winner.
But My Way misses the opener (2.10) because of the ground, so he has just five left from 10 at the earlier acceptance stage this week.
Scaramanga (2.45) is supported by stablemate Deadline Diva, and the return to good ground will suit Favorito Buck’s (3.20). Finally, there’s Capeland (3.55).
I shall back Scaramanga in a race Nicholls has won three times – he’s clearly the man with the golden gun here – but need to have Praeceps on my side after his sixth in the Fred Winter.
