SIX-HIT DAQMAN ROOTS FOR MORE: Daqman has built up a Test Match score in the Classics with a super six sequence of hits. Now he wants a seventh in today’s French Oaks.

TOMORROW: IT’S ROYAL ASCOT WEEK: Every race at Royal Ascot is a Classic of sorts. Tomorrow Daqman analyses his record at the meeting and prepares to make every day (Tuesday to Saturday).

DAQMAN SEEKS SEVEN CLASSICS

CLASSIC TIPSTER: Daqman landed the Derby-Oaks double in just 20 hours and completed a run of five Classic winners in 28 days, six if you include the French 1,000 Guineas.

Can the same filly who landed a huge gamble that day, Blue Rose Cen, score for him again at Chantilly in the French Oaks (Prix de Diane) this afternoon?

The Diane is worth £505.6k to the winner, compared with £311k won by Soul Sister in the Epsom Oaks 16 days ago and the €290k first prize for the Curragh Oaks, due to be run on July 22.

Here are Daqman’s Classic winners so far, with the Irish Derby next in line on July 2 at the Curragh.

WON 9-2 AUGUSTE RODIN (Epsom Derby)
WON 11-4 SOUL SISTER (Epsom Oaks)
WON 2-5 TAHIYRA (Irish 1,000 Guineas)
WON 3-1 PADDINGTON (Irish 2,000 Guineas)
WON 3-5 BLUE ROSE CEN (French 1,000 Guineas)
WON 7-2 CHALDEAN (Newmarket 2,000 Guineas)

THE BATTLE OF THE ROSES..

⭕ 3.05 Chantilly (Prix de Diane, 1m 2.5f, good to soft): All six of my Classic winners so far have been Fortune Cookies. Today could be no different.

Blue Rose Cen became a Cookie after her trial win and before her French 1,000 romp, soon clear to beat Lindy, who reopposes today.

It’s another quarter-mile but not as testing at Chantilly as the very soft ground she stormed through at Longchamp 35 days back.

But there are no worries about today’s trip on breeding. She is the first foal of a Jeremy mare; the mare won up to 1m 4f; and Jeremy produced the Grand National winner, Corach Rambler! Her sire, Churchill, won the Eclipse with Vadeni.

In theory, we have speed and stamina which guarantees Rose can bloom again.. and again.

Rising star trainer Chistopher Head has her in the triple-crown class of Auguste Rodin, who blew one leg and may have to conquer Blue Rose Cen in the Arc to wear even a coronet this year.

Three more sequence fillies will file down to the Diane start but two of them, Pensee Du Jour (three in a row) and Running Lion (four in a row), are drawn wide from 11 and 12.

The single-figure draw has won 8 out of 10, and Pensee Du Jour may have to use up some petrol to manoeuvre to her usual place with the pace.

She won a Group 3 but the runner-up trailed in at 100-1 behind Soul Sister at Epsom, where Running Lion had to be withdrawn after rearing in the stall.

Jannah Rose looks more of a danger, drawn 7, and winner over more or less the French Oaks trip in the Saint-Alary at Longchamp from Elusive Princess. This Rose is an improving Frankel.

Elusive Prince was probably unlucky in the Saint-Alary and would have had a chance of reversing the placings with Jannah Rose but for getting the worst stall of all today: drawn 14.

Never Ending Story (Aidan O’Brien) has twice been beaten by Blue Rose Cen but will relish the step up in trip, while Caroline Street (Joseph O’Brien) looks just short of top class, though the stable has an excellent record with its French raiders.

Novakai (Karl Burke), runner-up in the Fillies Mile, was second again in the Musidora behind Soul Sister and could be around 16.0 today, which is big behind, say, 4.0 Running Lion.

Novakai could give meaning to the Epsom Oaks form, without being good enough to beat Blue Rose Cen at 3.75 or so and Jannah Rose at around 6.0. That’s my 1-2-3.

BURNING TO CASH IN

⭕ 3.50 Doncaster A decent class 2 handicap with the eight runners fighting it out over the five furlong course.

It will be a flying five furlongs too on the likely good to firm ground which should suit last year’s winner Burning Cash who arrives here on a 2lb lower mark than 12 months ago when his win signalled a return to form and he went on to win his next start (also at Doncaster).

Although fifth at York last time out, it was a decent effort as he was only beaten a length and a half in another competitive class 2 handicap won by Chipstead.

It will be interesting to see if Ancient Times takes his chance again 24 hours after finishing a close-up third at Chester on Saturday but this is a level higher.

LASER ISN’T PRINTING MONEY

⭕ 4.25 Doncaster Laser Guided has the ‘sexy’ form figures and connections but his Ripon win last time out was actually a dead heat and he now needs to do it again in a better class race off a 3lb hike in the weights.

He might be progressive enough to cope but he will almost certainly be shorter than perhaps he should be on Betdaq Betting Exchange.

A better value alternative might be Power Of Gold who is worth another chance having blown his chance last time by running too freely but should do better over this shorter trip.

⭕ 5.45 Salisbury The NAP vote goes to Gallimimus from the George Boughey yard who landed a nice treble yesterday. Gallimimus blew it coming out of the stalls last time out and the run can be ignored. He’d won his previous two starts and looks in much better form than his three rivals here.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
