HE’S YOUR LUCKY, LUCKY MAN FOR THE THREE AYR SPRINT CUPS: Daqman’s shown what he can do with the shorter prices. Now check out his recent big-odds, big-race strikes from records of his bets in BETDAQ Tips at the Ayr Gold Cup meeting over three days, starting today.. and just look at the double-your-money BETDAQ offers at 20.0, 25.0 and 27.0! That 27.0 hit was called Lucky Lucky Man.
DAQMAN’S BAG OF SPRINT TREASURE
It used to be called the Ayr Western Meeting. And it’s one of Daqman’s favourite hunting grounds. He’s a crack shot riding the range of Sprint trophies from gold to bronze.
The three-day Ayr festival starts today with eight races featuring the Kilkerran Cup. Then they split up the big-sprint entries and run the lower-weights-level acceptors in the Ayr Bronze Cup on Friday.
The final cut will give us big-field Silver and Gold handicaps on Saturday, when the 24 races over the three days will be completed.
Here are just some of Daqman’s hits in the three sprints, in which yet again you’ll see that, in each race, morning offers on BETDAQ were worth double, or even more than double, the SP of some of his winners.

ICONIC SELECTION
⭕ 3.00 Ayr (Kilkerran Cup) Stalls 8, 9, 10 and 11 have shared six of the last eight renewals of this 1m 2f handicap.
The last three winners have carried between 9st 4lb and 9st 8lb. But Richard Fahey’s Frankel colt Spirit Dancer looks nicely placed down the handicap off a featherweight.
Drawn 2 and racing off 8st 5lb he doesn’t fit the stats brackets but could prove an exception to the rule(s).
He gets a tick in both the going and distance boxes too after an easy Ripon success last time out but this is much tougher and he is up against some seasoned handicappers. The high volume Fahey yard is also running at a strike-rate of just 7 winners from their last 107 runners.
Dubai Icon makes just as much appeal but is a better price on BETDAQ. The 200 day absence shouldn’t be a problem as he has won off a longer break before and is another that has winning form on soft.
He won on soft at York last year when last seen in the UK and has been racing out in Meydan for the early part of the year. His overall form looks superior.
WONDERFUL SUPERNAP
⭕ 3.30 Ayr Wondrous Words absolutely hacked up on the soft at Redcar and Roger Varian uses in-form claimer Ray Dawson to largely nullify his penalty, perfectly placing the improving three-year-old back on to a surface at Ayr which also has cut in the ground. The ground was described this morning as good to soft and soft in places.
The trainer’s strike rate on the course is 5-13, and Wondrous Words is his only runner on the Scottish track until Saturday.
Chief danger Salsada bids for a hat-trick following wins at Newcastle and last time out at Haydock where she won on soft ground.
She’s up 3lb for that win in a race where less than two lengths split the first four home and the handicapper may just halt her winning run here.
CORMIER FOR QUICK FOLLOW UP
⭕ 5.35 Ayr No prizes for originality in the final race over 1m 6f but after romping home by 11 lengths at Catterick last week it’s hard to see the statutory 5lb penalty halting the progress of the Brian Ellison trained four-year-old Cormier.
Soft ground and distance should be perfect. It was soft at Catterick and he showed no signs of stopping after that mile and a half.
Now that Tuesday’s winner Ben Lilly is a non runner the race looks much easier and he should have too much stamina for the Fahey trained Splinter who is unproven on anything longer than 10 furlongs and is 0-6.
DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 20 points except SUPERNAP)
