POWER NAP FOR WINNER-A-DAY DAQMAN: Winner-a-day Daqman landed his nap yesterday with Lieber Power (WON evens) following Just Fine (WON 100-30) on Tuesday. Going at Ayr this afternoon is heavy, so today’s nap is at Chelmsford tonight.

23 LEFT IN THE CESAREWITCH: There were 23 runners declared for Saturday’s Cesarewitch this morning, and Daqman gives you a horse-by-horse check on the stats and form.

ABCDEG SCARAMANGA

Hat-trick landed in the Spring for Paul Nicholls (hurdles and 2m Flat). Only 24th in Cesarewitch last year. First run for Willie Mullins.

ABCDG GIBRALTAR

Late improver; up a stone and on a hat-trick, after back-to-back wins at Leopardstown and Tramore.

ABCG BABY ZEUS

Third and fourth in big handicaps at the Galway Festival in the last two years but not won for 16 months (1m 2f, soft-/heavy)

ABDG MUKHA MAGIC

Placed 24 times, winning nine (all on a sound surface); low-level hat-trick in the summer.

ABEG ZOFFEE

Improved since joining Hugo Palmer in the Spring. Frankie Dettori booked for this Northumberland Vase winner, only once out of the frame in six starts this year: 311303.

ABE INCHICORE

Beat a small field at Goodwood among four races in the first four this year, fourth in the Old Newton Cup, third in the Mallard. Trainer back to form after long, lean spell.

ABG CALL MY BLUFF

Five out of seven up to June last year. Back to form last month, third in the Cesarewitch trial over the CD and beaten a head by Emiyn at Chester (2m 2.5f, good to soft)

ABG LAND OF WINTER

2m winner in lower grade last year but improved this season, prominent most of the way in the Chester Cup; and, on the same course, not clear run, ran on fourth to Emiyn and Call My Bluff two weeks back.

ABG PRINCE IMPERIAL

Gradual improvement, winning on both soft and firm last backend; hit form again the last day, dividing Rajinsky and Call My Bluff in the Cesarewitch Trial.

ABG RUN FOR OSCAR

Versatile at a lower level. Hurdles double last backend over 2m 4f plus but back to form on the Flat over 2m in the summer.

AB HMS PRESIDENT

Placed 4-5 last summer and four consecutive seconds this time around. All that for just one win (1m 4f firm at Goodwood).

ACDEG AHORSEWITHNONAME

Four in a row on the Flat, two either side of hurdles places culminating in Mares Novice Hurdle runner-up at the 2022 Cheltenham Festival.

ADGE RANCH HAND

Group-3 second on soft (2m) in the Spring. Has mixed with top horses but won only in small fields (4-5 at the turn of the year).

ADGE ROCK EAGLE

Not won on turf for four years; twice beaten by Ranch Hand in the Spring; 8th, beaten seven lengths, in the Ascot Stakes. Fifth in Cesarewitch two years ago.

AEG FAVOURITE MOON

Placed in soft-ground handicaps for William Haggas; switched to Bill Durkan, breaking his hurdles maiden the last day after good run on the Flat at the Galway Festival.

BDE BASCULE

Four in a row on AW; not won on turf but fifth in the Cesarewitch Trial when short of room.

BEG MOLIWOOD

Three out of four on AW at the turn of the year; sole win on turf was in two-horse race. Changed trainers before good fourth at Ascot on penultimate start.

BG AUTHOR’S DREAM

No turf success for four years since prep for 2020 Cesarewitch (finished 21st). Back to form in July, third in the Goodwood Handicap (2m 4f)

BG EVALUATION

Raised 21lb after four in a row at a lower level. Fourth to Zoffee in the Northumberland Vase and beaten a nose over shorter at Sandown when back from a break.

BG VINO VICTRIX

Back-to-back wins last summer; found it harder upgraded this year but, always in first four, beat a small field at Goodwood

DEG WITHHOLD

Won this race in 2017 (19th last year) and added Northumberland Plate, back to back. Best form since when runner-up to Calling The Wind, 2m 4f Goodwood Handicap, July 2021.

DE GOING GONE

Up a stone in progressive 12 months. Three out of four over shorter, culminating in Great Met at Epsom in April. Fourth in the Ascot Stakes and won the Mallard the last day.

EG NOT SO SLEEPY

Twice fourth in the Cesarewitch (2019 and 2020). Best known for Graded hurdle success since, including in the Fighting Fifth (last November) and not disgraced in the Champion Hurdle. Ten now.

ABERAMA GOLD LIKES SOFT GROUND

⭕ 1.15 Ayr Dundory is well in here; goes up a pound in future races and has a 3lb claim. His record in class 5 is 141241 and he drops down to that grade again for this.

The third horse home in his Goodwood win scored by seven lengths next time, and his nearest opponents in the market today don’t look all that threatening.

Second-favourite Hilts won back to back in the Spring but, since then, has been losing favourite four times in a row.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 4.1 Dundory

⭕ 3.00 Ayr It’s two years since Aberama Gold won a race but he is back in his class-4 comfort zone after fifth in the Dash at York, following a brace of close seconds here at Ayr. Down in the handicap and racing on his favoured soft ground.

Maple Jack was turned over twice at Ayr until he had a holiday and the rains came; then he scored there at this level (from Pearl Of Qatar), and is raised in the ratings.

Woven has a big chance at the weights on his second in the Ayr Silver Cup but that was his eighth time as runner-up for only 2-27 overall, and Aberama Gold (BETDAQ 7.3) was badly drawn that day.

Classy Al makes his 11th appearance at Ayr, with form-figures of 0000101431, and has improved a stone this year. Black Friday is 3-15 on the course.

⭕ 7.00 Chelmsford Not clear run two out, third at Newmarket over a mile, Tamarama came up against Al Husn, who has since completed a four-timer, and will now try his luck in the Pattern.

Before that, Tamarama was fourth at Goodwood in the middle of the hat-trick by Crystal Caprice (Outside World well beaten off).

She does not appear to have hot opposition today: New Heights, Nuble, Phantasy Mac and Prism are all class-5 winners, who look exposed.

BETDAQ value 3.6 Tamarama

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
