MAGIC! DAQMAN LANDS ANOTHER TREBLE: Daqman scored a hat-trick yesterday for the second time in four days after his three in a row at the Longchamp Arc meeting on Sunday. Both trios included a winning nap which takes his best-bet strikes to 82. Yesterday’s treble at three different meetings could so easily have been a four-timer: Magicinthemaking (2nd 10-1) was beaten only a head in the last race at Kempton. Profit on the day: 23.40 points.

WON 11-10 ICE MAX (nap, won 11 lengths)
WON 5-2 DUBAI SOUQ
WON 4-5 MISCHIEF MAGIC (for three winners in a row)

TRAINERS WHO FARM SALISBURY: Today Daqman checks out the form and ratings for the big race at Newmarket on Saturday and follows trainers who farm Salisbury but with a nap at the evening AW meeting.

DETTORI 500 IN POLE POSITION

⭕ 3.15 Newmarket, Saturday (Sun Chariot Stakes) STATS: Three-year-olds are 6-4 up on older fillies and mares in the last decade of this 1m Group 1. TRAINER: Aidan O’Brien 2. JOCKEY: Ryan Moore 3. FAVOURITES 4-10. GOING FORECAST: Good (sunny).

118 INSPIRAL (John and Thady Gosden) Only 11 days after she flopped on deep ground in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood, the Frankel filly return to peak by taking the Jacques le Marois at Deauville from Big Rock, who had run second to Ace Impact in the French Derby.

Inspiral’s rider, Frankie Dettori, will be bidding for his 500th Newmarket winner at the age of 50 in what is still regarded as his final season.

His main rival here could be Mqse De Sevigne, to be ridden by 22-year-old French jockey find, Alexis Pouchin, who has just this season ridden his first two Group-1 winners.

117 MQSE DE SEIGNE (Andre Fabre) Though already placed in five Group races in her career, the half-sister to Meandre went up a gear with back-to-back Group-1 strikes on the soft at the Deauville summer festivals, firstly over a mile then over the 1m 2f of the classy Jean Romanet.

110 JUST BEAUTIFUL (Paddy Twomey) The Sceptre Stakes winner of 2021 returned to form at the Curragh (1m) in May before running third to the 118-rated Tahiyra at Leopardstown in the Group-1 Matron Stakes last month. Meditate was fourth in first-time blinkers.

107 MEDITATE (Aidan O’Brien) The 2022 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies winner (1mfirm) has found Tahiyra in the way three times this season, in the Irish 1,000 Guineas (second), the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot (fourth) and the last day (see Just beautiful).

107 HEREDIA (Richard Hannon) Won four in a row 2021-22 but struggled in the Pattern until Listed success atHaydock in August followed by her best strike in the Group-3 AtalantaStakes at Sandown in early September.

107 RANDOM HARVEST (Ed Walker) Group winner twice on soft ground and placed at the Epsom Derby meeting and Royal Ascot on a sound surface.

106 ROMAN MIST (Archie Watson) second to Random harvest and fifth to Heredia before taking a 7f Group 3 in Germany two weeks ago.

105 COPPICE (John and Thady Gosden) Sandringham Handicap winner at Royal Ascot (1m good to firm) was short of peak when behind Heredia at Sandown but that sharpened her up for winning a Listed over the Newmarket CD the last day.

104 GOLDANA (Joseph O’Brien) Four runs since coming over from Germany, winning the Gladness Stakes (Group 3) at the Curragh in the Spring but behind Just Beautiful at the Curragh in May.

IS IT SAME AGAIN MR BECKETT?

⭕ 1.52 Salisbury Trainers are creatures of habit, as revealed by this maiden, in which Ralph Beckett goes for a hat-trick with runners first time out but trained to the minute.

Ribblesdale third and Irish Oaks runner-up Bluestocking won it last year, first time on a racecourse.

The race was split in two and the winner of the second division was her stablemate, also on his racecourse debut, with the runner-up in the same race yet another Ralph Beckett colt.

The stable had won the race in 2018 with another debutant, this one with intentions made clear by a punt on the track, making him favourite.

The Beckett filly, La Pasionara, was 8.1 on BETDAQ this morning after moves for Houstonn, already narrowly beaten on the track and whose sire’s best performers like soft.

BOX AND COX IN THE SPRINT

⭕ 4.30 Salisbury Clive Cox gives himself two chances of completing a hat-trick in this sprint; it would be his fourth win in eight years.

He’s won with three-year-olds only, seemingly able to spot the ball while other contenders are pinsticking hopefully: proof is in the SP; every Cox winner well supported.

But which is it this time: Katey Kontent or Bonny Angel? Both are down in class, and could be termed ‘hidden horses.’

Betdaq Betting Exchange: They were 5.2 and 18.5 respectively in BETDAQ trading this morning.

Bonny Angel, potentially better drawn, has shed 8lb off her mark at this stage a year ago and has extra headgear today. ‘Katey’ is down 9lb on the mark she was given after her sixth in the 2022 Queen Mary. She was unlucky the last day, hampered at Yarmouth.

Haymaker, down in grade and back up in trip, is a big danger to the Cox pair, while Under The Twilight and Marshal Dan have also been working hard in better company.

Coco Bear enjoys softish ground and is nicely drawn but three-year-olds are six out of eight and I’ll be content with the Cox duo.

I’M FULL OF HOPE FOR SAFFIE

⭕ 5.30 Chelmsford Full Regalia, half-sister to two Group-3 winners, and with a good run at Chelmsford behind her, can get off the mark here under Saffie Osborne.

I find Crowning too quirky to carry my money and the ratings computer says that Resonance is going backwards; the two other contenders have no mark at all.

There was very little liquidity left in BETDAQ 2.74 offers about Full Regalia this morning and she may well topple Crowning as favourite.
