WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES: Taunton and Clonmel both got the green light this morning to ensure a resumption of jumps racing on both sides of the Irish Sea.

ITV DOUBTS: Saturday’s racing remains less certain with inspections pending at Kempton (inspect 2pm this afternoon) and Warwick (inspect 2pm Friday). Both cards are set to feature in ITV Racing’s Saturday schedule.

12/1 SECOND: After a 12/1 second yesterday and a nap beaten 1/2 length Daqman hopes to hit the target this afternoon.

JOIN IN THE CHORUS

⭕ 2.30 Taunton Juggernaut was heading the morning Betdaq Betting Exchange market but form figures this season of 322234 demonstrate how he is struggling to win this season and he isn’t getting much relief from the handicapper.

A better alternative at a much better price, is Irish Chorus who won a three runner affair at Leicester in December beating the odds on Settle Down Jill despite jumping left on occasions. The Alan King trained runner is no world beater but she might not need to be here and again gets the good ground she goes well on.

Hypotenus has yet to win over jumps and needs to bounce back from a poor run at Ludlow last time out. He is the likely front runner so in running players might easily get a trade on Betdaq from his starting price.

TARGET FOR SNIPER

⭕ 3.00 Taunton American Sniper is steadily running back to form now dropped in class. The David Pipe trained runner finished 12th in the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival and has had his sights lowered since.

On 5lb better terms he is taken to get the better of Celtic Art who beat him into second over course and distance last time out with Him Malaya back in fourth, a further nine lengths back.

At bigger odds Benvoy is interesting after his Huntingdon win last time out but confidence is tempered by the fact that so far he has struggled to put two good runs back to back.

SILKIE WORTH THE WAIT

⭕ 8.30 Chelmsford A long wait for the nap but hopefully worth it as Silkies Sib looks good in the closing 10 furlong handicap.

The James Owen trained runner won over a slightly shorter trip at Wolverhampton last time out on Boxing Day and should be even better suited by this step up in trip.

The 2lb rise in the weights looks fair enough for what was only a nose success and the likelihood is that he can improve further on just his fourth start for the Owen yard.

Beachborough Girl isn’t doing much wrong at present and looks the one to chase the nap home.

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
