FOUR NAPS UP OUT OF FIVE: Whooping it up! Daqman is celebrating his fourth winning nap in five days after a 9-4 strike at Lingfield yesterday. The four are:

DONCASTER DAY 1: Daqman increases stakes to attack huge offers on BETDAQ this morning. Will he still be whooping it up; will he add a value nap to his list at 5.5 or scoop another bull’s-eye bet?

FOUR of the five two-year-old races (that’s 40 races in 10 years) have been shared largely by Richard Fahey (5), Richard Hannon (4), Karl Burke (3), Andrew Balding (3), George Boughey (2) Clive Cox (2), Team Gosden (2), William Haggas (2), Kevin Ryan (2) and Roger Varian (2). You should treat the Group race (May Hill) separately.
⭕ 1.50 Doncaster (6.5f nursery) Winners win this, well backed and trained by one of those usual suspects in the 2yo ranks. But the edge is to a low draw (six out of eight in 2, 3 or 5).
Today I believe Joe Fanning could do it from the tricky one stall. His mount, Substitute, is a ‘hidden horse’ after finding the firm ground and exalted company against her in the Group-3 Albany at Royal Ascot and then a 7f nursery at Goodwood, but weakened there only in the last 100 yards.
Alice Fairfax (stall 7) drops from sixth place in Group 3 tests at Royal Ascot and Goodwood and will find this company much easier.
Toomuchforme (stall 8 here) was runner-up at Newbury to a very smart juvenile, Jewelry, trained by William Haggas, who today saddles Art Design, an experienced rear runner setting Tom Marquand the task of weaving his way through from gate 15.

O’BRIEN COLT ON HIGH MARK
⭕ 2.25 Doncaster (£300k sales race) Big recent bias towards low stalls (six out of seven) and – because of the huge prize – towards the yards among those usual suspects who have quality juveniles in some depth.
But Aidan O’Brien, who is here with two May Hill runners, can’t resist trying to make an early impression with Camille Pissarro, the Marble Hill and Anglesey runner-up at the Curragh.
Cold Case is the last recent winner to come to this with a 100-plus rating – on 103 – but Camille Pissarro is a match for that.
Next door to the Ballydoyle colt (drawn 6) is the 7f Newmarket scorer Cairdeas (5). Hallason, who made all at Newmarket for Charlie Appleby, comes out of 9.

MOORE STICKS TO ECSTATIC
⭕ 3.00 Doncaster (May Hill Stakes) The May Hill is, at Group 2, several rungs up from the nursery level of the ladder.
The stalls bias is the same – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 shared seven of the last 10 – but Beckett, Bolger, Burke and O’Brien have previously brought future stars to the winner’s enclosure, such as Fleeting, Laurens and Inspiral.
One of the market front-runners seems sure to win today with a hot five of the 10 runners clear in ratings and draw.
There have been recent winners on 101, 102 even 104, and that can be matched today only by January (gate 5), Desert Flower (3) and Anshoda (1).
Difficult to rate is Ecstatic (out of 6), Ryan Moore’s choice on whom he won at Tipperary. First foal of a Galileo mare by the Japanese champion sprinter, Lord Kanaloa, who got Japan Cup winning mare, Almond Eye.
BETDAQ 9.5 offers mean you can take a chance, but Desert Flower, who easily downed Flight on the debut, ran away with her follow-up on the July Course, more than six lengths.
COMMA HAS CREDENTIALS
⭕ 3.35 Doncaster (Park Hill Stakes) The going is officially soft but maybe not soft enough for Sumo Sam. She went clear in this race on deeper ground last year in a slow time.
Night Sparkle was tailed off that day but, four in a row when trained out of Kildare, has been placed twice at Group level for Andrew Balding this year, with Grateful behind her at Goodwood.
Fourth in the Yorkshire Oaks, Mistral Star’s success has come on firm or good, and Scenic has scored just the once (also on firm): 1-11 on turf.
Oxford Comma is 2-2 with cut, swerving the hard ground of summer, and stepping up here to a trip that should suit. BETDAQ 5.5.
So we’ve got top trainer Ralph Beckett, with a Nathaniel filly of potential, good value, and a stayer in the making. We’ve even got Oxford commas of sorts in there, too.

⭕ 5.50 Doncaster Another ‘hidden horse.’ They put Raja Raja away for the summer and had him gelded after an eyecatching run here at Doncaster behind Oxford Comma on an easy surface in June.
Jamie Spencer has a massive record for David Simcock, winning for him five times more than any other jockey, and amassing £3m-plus in prizemoney. This is Spenny’s first ride for the Newmarket yard for some time, and you could get 12.5 on BETDAQ this morning.
