BETDAQ HOLDS GOODWOOD CLUES: Follow the money on BETDAQ! Follow the stables in form! Daqman repeats his winning mantra: keep your Daq up and watch the market.!
IT’S THE DAY FOR MOORE WINNERS: Double, treble.. or more? Daqman follows the magic form of Ryan Moore through the Goodwood Day 3 card, which features the Nassau Stakes.
FOLLOW THE MONEY ON BETDAQ
DON’T be fooled! Morning favourites Jabaara, Aesterius and Power Of Destiny were all beaten (second every one) at Goodwood yesterday – Henry Longfellow blew out, too – but NEW favourites, French Duke and Coto De Caza, both won.
Barring Kyprios, it was the same story on Tuesday, a pinstickers’ day with morning favourites beaten, but with NEW favourites, Aomori City, Jouncy and Arisaig (joint) all winning.
So I repeat the mantra: make your morning selections from the low overrounds of BETDAQ offers, then keep your Daq up for every race and repeat check the markets as hidden confidence emerges.
One guide is to follow trainers who have clearly planned the coups: Appleby (both Charlie and Michael), Balding, Beckett, Crisford, Johnston, Varian have mocked their rivals and have yet more to come.
TODAY IS RYAN MOORE DAY..
⭕ 1.50 Goodwood (Kincsem Handicap, 1m 2f) The grey Midnight Gun (stall 4), who has scored back to back, still needs another 52 straight wins to equal the record of the incredible Kincsem (pictured below), after whom the race is named!
Approval (in 9) was the first market mover this morning, as a Windsor winner over Lord Of Love, who was beaten only a neck here yesterday giving weight to the winner.
In the two 1m 2f races so far here this week, 5 beat 1 yesterday, 18-13 was the one-two Tuesday; extremes of the draw waiting on pace horses.
Palace Green (7) is better than the bare form; Mortlake (6) is bred to be suited by this step up in trip.
I think today is Ryan Moore day. On the double-figure-stalls side in this one, Moore (Watcha Matey in 10) has a 20% record when booked by Hugo Palmer. BETDAQ 15.5.
STORM LOOKS THE VALUE
⭕ 2.25 Goodwood (2yo Richmond Stakes) The Norfolk Stakes has been boosted by every runner since; and the second, Tropical Storm, will be hard to beat today.
Third home, Arizona Blaze, who had won the Marble Hill, has finished third in the Railway Stakes, and the fourth won the July Stakes, with this week’s Vintage winner, Aomori City, in third.
The snag to a decent bet on Tropical Storm is The Strikin Viking, who easily beat Arizona Blaze when they were two-three in the Railway Stakes but ‘Viking’ has now left Kevin Ryan, sent to Hamad Al Jehani who has had two duck-eggs at current big meetings, both outsiders.
In any case, the Betdaq Betting Exchange offers of 6.1 Tropical Storm and 2.24 The Strikin Viking are too wide apart.
BRUEGHEL ABSOLUTE PICTURE
⭕ 3.00 Goodwood (Gordon Stakes, 1m 3f) The quirky Sayedaty Sadaty and Bellum Justum, 5th and 7th in the Epsom Derby, and rated 110 and 109 accordingly, try to redeem themselves.
Jan Brueghel (pictured below) has won twice at 1m 2f without getting his ground and is bred along the lines of a Queen Alexandra winner (2m 5f) without being able to show his stamina. Until today.
Jan Brueghel may yet be a Ballydoyle, maybe even THE Ballydoyle hope, in the St Leger, sure to appreciate today’s step up in trip. An ideal teasing ride for Ryan Moore.
WAIT ‘TIL THE FAT LADY SINGS
⭕ 3.35 Goodwood (Nassau Stakes, 1m 2f) Some wallets are empty following Aidan O’Brien’s predictions but can he be so wrong taking on older nearly horses (like Emily Upjohn) with an aspiring filly?
Lady Baba and Doha make a pair of Beckett outsiders that give punters pause, but this is what the Ballydoyle maestro has said:
‘Ryan was over the moon with Opera Singer when she won at Ascot – she will really love going up to 10 furlongs – and he thought her an Arc filly.’ The fat lady sings!

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
