DRAW MAY DECIDE THE SPRINT
⭕ 3.30 Haydock, Saturday (Haydock Sprint): STATS: Stalls 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 have won seven times in the decade. Only three favourites have won.
Three-year-olds, who receive a 2lb allowance, have won six out of 11, but have a tough task to beat the older Minzaal. They are represented by:
113 Go Bears Go Phoenix Sprint winner after runner-up to Minzaal at Newbury (Group 3) in July but well supported to turn the tables.
112 Flaming Rib Second here in the Sandy Lane (in May) stepped up to Group 1 and was again second, keeping on, behind Perfect Power in the big-field Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
111 Castle Star Runner-up to Go Bears Go in the Railway Stakes at the Curragh last June and to Perfect Power in the Middle Park. Not reappear until July over 5f, showing all his old power for much of the race.
110 Harry Three Landed a summer hat-trick in a hood, completed in a Deauville Listed for his age group, but did not have the pace to get involved against older animals when down the field back at Deauville in a Group 1 the last day. The winner? Minzaal.
109 Dubawi Legend Third to Minzaal and Go Bears Go at Newbury but only fifth to the Bears in the Phoenix Sprint. Accomplished easier task at Baden-Baden the last day.

⭕ 3.20 Salisbury (Dick Poole, Group 3) A decent field for the feature which also happens to be one of the most competitive races of the day on the Betdaq Betting Exchange.
As it should be – but how many times recently have we seen top class races decimated by small field sizes and long odds-on favourites?
I was impressed with the way Juliet Sierra won at Nottingham last time out on just her second start. She was sent off a 2/5 favourite so the easy win was expected but she travelled really well during the race and most importantly looks to have a stack of further improvement to come and can handle the step up in class.
She had previously run well at Newmarket on debut when runner-up to Streets Of Gold who followed up with a big win at York and is still unbeaten.
Richard Hannon and Ryan Moore combine with Immortal Beauty who is on for the hat-trick after wins at Newmarket and Lingfield both in class 2 events. She remains progressive but this will be a much tougher task for her.
I’ll also have a small interest on Poetic Union who won well at Newmarket on her second start which came over today’s trip and on today’s forecast ground. That was a nice step up on her debut which came here over seven furlongs.
SUPER WORD FOR POET
⭕ 4.15 Haydock Dubai Poet stands out in a disappointingly small field of four.
The Roger Varian trained runner is taking a significant step down in grade for this class 3 event having been a creditable second to Jumby in the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes at Newbury last time out and prior to that third to Noble Truth in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.
That form is head and shoulder above his three rivals and he rates Supernap material at around 1.8 on BETDAQ in mid-morning trading.
MAJESTIC DIFFERENT LEAGUE
⭕ 6.30 Windsor The Racing League rumbles on but does throw up a good bet at Windsor with Majestic who is out again quickly after a handicap debut second at Beverley.
He’s set to go up 3lb for that but escapes the rise tonight and the wily Mick Channon no doubt sees this as somewhat of a penalty kick for his four-year-old in this company.
