BULL’S-EYE PLUNGE AT 14.0: As ever Daqman uses a few points from his naps-winning wallet to play huge odds on BETDAQ for a bull’s-eye bet today. This morning’s offers: 14.0.

⭕ 2.05 Leicester An opportunity to watch two jockeys with a big future in a tactical race, Freddie Gingell for Paul Nicholls (Mon Champion) and Tristan Durrell for Nicholls’ former assistant, Dan Skelton (Largy Belter).

Heavy ground helped Mon Champion break his duck at Hereford; Largy Belter has not settled, but was up against the quality of Lulamba (163) and Lump Sum (146) in his early chases. Milan Tino for J P McManus may want better ground.

Epic West had solid hurdles form and improved over fences the last day. He’s the one we know is going the right way.

CHARGER’S TIME OF YEAR

⭕ 3.25 Taunton The highest quality level of race over jumps today (class-3 handicap hurdle) suffers from the absence of the International third, Brentford Hope.

But it’s more disturbing for the executive that horses aged five and six which have dominated (5-9) are absent from today’s line-up, excepting the maiden, Constellation Walk, who is 10lb-24lb adrift of this field.

So there are no youngsters using this to progress to the Spring array of classier meetings, and local star trainers, Paul Nicholls (three recent winners) and Colin Tizzard (one), swerve the race.

Course winners are Philip Hobbs with Into The Park, the winner in 2024, and Jeremy Scott by Celtic Art.

Into The Park has placed without winning since then but Celtic Art landed a double here at Taunton around the turn of the year; Chad Bament (7), who won on him the last day, keeps his weight down. BETDAQ 7.5.

Welsh Charger has won three Februarys in a row, including the Scottish County Hurdle last year but lost it at the start this time around . Betdaq Betting Exchange 7.1.

I’ll take them together over the favourite, Jack Hyde, who has kept to novice class so far. Connections hope that a wind op (but tongue-tie retained) and 5lb claim can see him through the heavy ground.

BULL’S-EYE BALOO: 14.0

⭕ 4.15 Lingfield Lexington Jet has scored the last twice, but is raised a total of 12lb, so needs all of Conor Whiteley’s claim in attempting the hat-trick.

Foreseen has won three out of four and, like last-day winner Hitched, has a CD success to his name but is raised 13lb overall.

The top-rating in this field is Mr Baloo, despite a long losing run since last year at this time.

In his winning February 2025 sequence, he scored four times out of five, until he finally ran out of steam, third to Hitched, giving the winner 11lb.

Mr Baloo, who has raced over a trip too far the last twice, unfancied at 11-1 and 12-1, but fading only in the final furlong at Kempton last time out, now gives Hitched just a pound.

BETDAQ 14.0 for a bull’s-eye nap in a race in which trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Joe Leavy together have a 2-2 record.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
