CHELTENHAM FAVOURITES SHOCK: Favourites for three races in the Cheltenham festival programme next week have failed to score in the decade; a total of eight events have seen the favourite win nothing or just the once.
FAVOURITES’ CAR-CRASH RACES
Cheltenham Lays Logic. Which races do favourites usually win and in which eight events are the hot-pots most likely to crash? Which races do the Irish expect to dominate again?
That’s just two ways to launch your search for ante-post bets, now available in BETDAQ Sportsbook and BETDAQ Exchange for Cheltenham Festival next week.

WATCH THE LAYERS CAVE IN
⭕ 1.40 Taunton Very few of these can win a race.. and I’m talking about the trainers!
The yards responsible for Coconut Twist, Moscow Spy and The Rain King have raced 172 horses at Taunton over nine years or so without having a winner.
As for the horses, Lost History (has left Dan Skelton), Modreeney (Rules maiden) and Professor Calculus (up 7lb) occasionally show some kind of form.
But the one I like is Broomfields Cave, whose good-ground returns, Points and hurdles, are 112043 with his big-field third the last day on this course under this afternoon’s rider, Danny McMenamin.
Broomfields Cave is from the Bath stables of Neil Mulholland, who has to be followed only when in form, usually getting his winners in a cluster. He’s had three in the last 10 days.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 3.7 Broomfields Cave
HE’S THE HAT-TRICK SPOILER
⭕ 3.00 Ludlow (Forbra God Cup) Java Point doesn’t seem to mind the ground, and he’s within a couple of pounds of his last success, weight wise.
He won this last year, ending the hat-trick hopes of the winner in the two previous years, Head To The Stars, the pair finishing more than 20 lengths clear.
Can he stop another hat-trick attempt, this time by Hidden Heroics, up 17lb for cantering clear at the double, 23 lengths then 45 lengths at Exeter and Cheltenham, beating nothing well.
In-running punters should note that Hidden Heroics has to lead. That’s the secret of his success so far.
Good jumping – though sometimes to the right – has been a feature and switching to a right-handed track should be a bonus. But he does look a target for the experienced Java Point. BETDAQ 3.95
10.0 PUNT ON SMART ALEX
⭕ 3.10 Newcastle Oh Herberts Reign has dropped a stone in the handicap but, not content with that, Richard Hannon claims 7lb off him via Alex Voikhansky who had a winner yesterday after landing one the week before for in-form Michael Appleby.
What is striking about those winners is that both were favourite, so seemingly two talented trainers chose smart Alex to do the steering when the money was down. BETDAQ 10.0

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
