WAIT FOR IT! DAQMAN NAP IS A WINNER: Daqman, who made 19.25 points profit from three winners on Tuesday, landed a storming nap when Rooful swooped down the outside in the final race at Kempton last night.

WON 15-8 ROOFUL (nap)

BREEDERS CUP COUNTDOWN ON DAY TWO: Now look out for more of Daqman’s Breeders Cup countdown and expect BETDAQ-value verdicts for Keeneland on both Friday and Saturday.

20-1 DETTORI: BREEDERS CUP DAY 2

⭕ 4.29 Keeneland Saturday (Breeders Cup Turf Sprint) Wesley Ward is expected to saddle two – Golden Pal and Campanelle – in a bid to keep the £385k sprint prize in his yard.

Golden Pal won this race last year and Campanelle failed by only threeparts of a length in the Platinum Jubilee in June to complete a Royal Ascot hat-trick, after the Queen Mary (2020) and Commonwealth Cup (2021).

The English raiding party also has a twin attack of Highfield Princess (Nunthorpe and Flying Five) for John Quinn and Creative Force (2021 British Champion Sprinter) for Charlie Appleby.

⭕ 5.50 Keeneland Saturday (Breeders Cup Filly And Mare) Nashwa is four from six, including the French Oaks and the Nassau Stakes, but finished only a short-head up on Above The Curve when they were second and third in the Opera at the Arc meeting (very soft).

Above The Curve had beaten the Opera winner, Place Carrousel, in the Saint-Alary on better ground in the Spring.

I pass on a tip for Frankie Dettori’s mount, Moira, 20-1 with bookmakers. She would have landed a hat-trick in the E P Taylor (firm) last month but, hampered herself, she hampered another trying to get clear and was beaten a neck on the line (disqualified).

⭕ 7.10 Keeneland Saturday (Breeders Cup Mile) Modern Games (Charlie Appleby) v Kinross (Dettori for Ralph Beckett) is an intriguing clash, with Modern Games, the French 2,000 Guineas winner proved on firm in the Woodbine Mile.

⭕ 8.40 Keeneland Saturday (Breeders Cup Turf) Nations Pride, another for Charlie Appleby, has won the Saratoga Derby and the Jockey Club Derby Invitational at Belmont, back to back, both on firm.

He is supported in the raiding party from these islands by a trio you’ve given up on: Mishriff, Stone Age and Broome. You did the right thing!

⭕ 9.40 Keeneland Saturday (Breeders Cup Classic) After defeats by Baaeed and Nature Strip, Flightline has shot to the top of the world rankings and aims to keep it that way.

PAUL NICHOLLS ON A HAT-TRICK

⭕ 12.50 Newbury Paul Nicholls goes for a hat-trick in this conditionals handicap hurdle with Grivetana (BETDAQ 3.25), fourth in the fillies’ juvenile at the Cheltenham Festival after going clear in her trial at Chepstow.

Long Stay. who won at Ludlow two years back, didn’t reappear until September when she did well despite her inexperience to run second at Perth to one who was placed in higher grades both before and after that race.

⭕ 1.20 Newbury A novice hurdle Nicky Henderson has won twice in the last five years, and will be short odds to do so again with Boom Boom.

Boom Boom, Lock Out and Hansard are all bumper winners.

Lock Out’s David Pipe stable currently has the best strike-rate. None has been seen on a racecourse since at least July, except Doublethetrouble, who reappeared on the Flat in September.

⭕ 1.55 Newbury Another Nicholls, Huelgoat (BETDAQ 2.51) has not been out of the first three in five races since the summer, winning the last three and with connections hoping, like those of many other winners at this time of year, to get another one in before the winter ground sets in.

LAC GEARED UP FOR PIPE PLUNGE

⭕ 2.30 Newbury Four of these novices were winners last time out but Mrs Grimley is trying hurdles for the first time after winning a Southwell bumper.

She’s A Saint won 41 lengths at Hexham, Sharp Note 23 lengths at Hereford and Carole’s Pass scored at Clairefontaine in June for Amy Murphy, who currently has the best strike rate of the trainers in this.

3.05 Newbury A Pertemps Hurdle qualifier won twice with the same horse (Dell ‘Arca) by David Pipe, who now saddles Siruh Du Lac, who has won six chases, the last of them the Brown Advisory at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival.

Siruh Du Lac has been out of sorts since that time and a revival today depends on the effect of the ‘wind op and tongue tie’ combination.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 14.5 Siruh Du Lac

POINT’S ALWAYS GOOD FOR PLACE

⭕ 3.42 Newbury A 2m 4f handicap chase which hasn’t been won by anything over the age of eight yet older horses are in the majority here.

Java Point drops back to the winning distance of his first chase success as a novice at Ludlow.

It was a novice handicap he won here at Newbury the last day but he’d won an open handicap back at Ludlow before that. Both wins were at 3m or so.

His overall chase form is 5-6 placed, three of them wins, yet his handicap mark has changed only a matter of a few pounds.

Le Cameleon is another who’s hardly moved in the handicap, despite four chase wins in small fields. Beat Northern Bound at Warwick but is worse off at the weights with that one today.

Jemima P completed a hat-trick last year at this time and has had a run back. Her prowess is her jumping but she has to give 7lb to Java Point, and is now eight years old.

BETDAQ value: 4.4 Java Point, 6.3 Jemima P

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
