12-1 DAQMAN GOES 56 POINTS UP: A robust Daqman went for big hitters yesterday with supernap and bull’s-eye bets. The result was a profitable day for the third day running, with a total of 55.95 points on the week so far.

Wednesday: profit on the day 32.75 points
WON 5-1 ROBUSTO (win-50 bull’s-eye bet) 8.4 BETDAQ
WON 12-1 GRATEFUL

Tuesday: profit on the day 6.80 points
WON 2-1 ROOM SERVICE (nap)

Monday: profit on the day 16.40 points
WON 6-4 DASHINWHITESARGENT (nap)
WON 11-8 GARDEN OASIS

A QUALITY DAY: Daqman sticks with quality today. He checks out the card on the opening day at the July Meeting before taking in a Leopardstown Group 3 tonight.

Jockeys will ride with black armbands in England today following the tragic loss of the family of racing commentator John Hunt.

COULD BE A LEGER LEGEND

⭕ 1.50 Newmarket (Bahrain Trophy, Group-3 1m 5f) William Haggas’s Space Legend, who could take the Voltigeur path to the St Leger, was six-lengths runner-up in the King Edward V11 Stakes at Royal Ascot, with Royal Supremacy third.

Ancient Wisdom, a distant eighth in the Derby, had been whacked six lengths in the Dante by another Haggas three-year-old, Economics, who we are likely to see in the Juddmonte International.

Portland won when stepped up to the King George V Cup trip (1m 4f) at Leopardstown. Before and after that he was well beaten over 1m 2f.

WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND

⭕ 2.25 Newmarket (July Stakes, Group-2 6f) Ain’t Nobody won the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (firm) with Aviation Time and Weissmuller third and fourth but both have since been beaten into fourth and seventh in a Listed at Deauville (soft).

Whistlejacket will relish the extra furlong and the easy surface after running fourth in the Group-2 Norfolk Stakes (5f). The third horse home that day has since finished third in the Railway Stakes, while the fifth has won a Listed.

Aomori City went into the notebook after he and Intrusively went 12 lengths clear at Nottingham but that one has been well beaten since.

BETDAQ OFFERS 15 POINTS

⭕ 3.00 Newmarket (6f handicap) STATS: Winners by stall: 16, 15, 3, 19, 8, 20, 12, 16, 14, 11 (so 8-10 double in figures); weight carried 8-10 between 8st 3lb and 8st 12lb.

Military (LAYS LOGIC) has won only his maiden, always a bad sign. Highly tried since, failing to respond to different headgear; drawn 4 and with top weight.

Of others drawn low, Two Tribes didn’t get a clear passage when runner-up to the big improver James’s Delight (Imperial Guard 5th, Tropical Island 6th), who won for the fourth time this year in a Deauville Listed.

But the high stalls look near-invincible, strongly represented by Moswaat, Dark Vintage, Dorney Lake and Zabriskie Point.

Zabriskie Point, who runs well fresh, has man-of-the-moment Billy Loughnane riding for ace sprints trainer, Charlie Hills, and has won on soft.

Silvestre De Sousa rides soft-ground lover Moswaat and the handicapper has dropped the consistent two-year-old a few pounds.

Dark Vintage has been holding his own on top of the ground but is the second foal of The Mums, with the first – Kerdos – winning the Temple Stakes on the soft at Haydock, reaching a 110 rating.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 10 Dark Vintage, Moswaat, 15 Zabriskie Point

HAMISH HAS HIS GROUND

⭕ 3.35 Newmarket (Princess Of Wales’s Stakes 1m 4f Group 2) Giavellotto is a York specialist (2-2 there) who seems to prefer top of the ground and at least two furlongs further. Likewise last year’s St Leger runner-up, Arrest.

Hamish has a tremendous record between 1m 4f and 1m 6f with cut in the ground: 1212111122. Arrest ran no race against him in the John Porter.

WENDLA LOOKS THE VALUE

⭕ 6.15 Leopardstown (Brownstown Stakes) This has been Ger Lyons’ race but can he continue his success (winner in 2015, 2016, 2022, 2023) with the change of venue?

Wendla went clear on today’s track in May of the odds-on Buttons, subsequent Irish 1,000 Guineas fourth. Colin Keane’s riding at 25% helps; so does BETDAQ offers of a generous 9.0

The favourite today, Special Wan (LAYS LOGIC), has been beaten the last twice by another Lyons maid, Mutasarref, so I’m looking to unexposed three-year-olds for the danger.

Jancis was a CD winner on her only start, but the Frankel filly Red Viburnum, not disgraced in the Moyglare as a juvenile, is well entered up and expected to do better, now she’s off the mark. BETDAQ 5.6.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
