TOP TIPPING FOR TODAY AND ONE ON MONDAY: Daqman has five bets for today and one for Monday already! It’s all about the two-year-olds as he rates Saturday’s Futurity field at Doncaster.
DAQMAN ON THE TWO-DAY WEEKEND MEETINGS: Tomorrow: Opening days of the two-day meetings at Doncaster (Flat) and Cheltenham (Jumps)
FANFARE SOUNDS FOR AL NAFIR
Fortune Cookie: Al Nafir (6.00 Newcastle, Monday), a full brother to the stable’s Ghaiyyath, rated the best horse in the world last year, was pulled out of his maiden at Newmarket yesterday because of the ground.
Charlie Appleby won the race anyway with Al Nafir’s stablemate New London, another son of Dubawi, and diverts Al Nafir to Newcastle. His name means clarion call!
The Future Stayers Novices Stakes, won last year by Hurricane Lane, went to Juan Bermudez, a 40-1 outsider trained by Andrew Balding.
Juan Bermudez had been well down the field on debut at Salisbury behind yesterday’s nursery winner, Wind Your Neck In.
DAQMAN RATES FUTURITY FIELD
⭕ 3.15 Doncaster, Saturday (Futurity Trophy) Hot-favourite Luxembourg has to improve 10lb or more if the top two-year-old colts run to form in Saturday’s Futurity. That’s the verdict of Daqman’s ratings.
117 Bayside Boy Already a quality winner here at Doncaster, beating Reach For The Moon, who had run second to Point Lonsdale in the Chesham (Roger Varian).
114 Royal Patronage Won the Acomb Stakes by a couple of lengths from Imperial Fighter and the Royal Lodge by beating Coroebus (Mark Johnston).
109 Imperial Fighter After the Acomb Stakes defeat by Royal Patronage, Coroebus beat him comfortably in the Autumn Stakes by a similar margin (Andrew Balding)
107 Luxembourg Camelot colt; very talented winner of the Beresford Stakes at the Curragh in September, attracting rave reviews, but yet to meet a class horse (Aidan O’Brien): see Daqman yesterday.
100 Sissoko Australia colt related to an Oaks winner on the dam’s side, went clear in a Group-3 at Leopardstown recently from a Galileo colt of Aidan O’Brien’s (Donnacha O’Brien)
ARIAN READY TO DO THE DOUBLE
⭕ 1.00 Ludlow today: Emma Lavelle has run into form with figures of 2220211 in the last two weeks and her quirky Bricklagger looks a place dabble in a race dominated by Nicky Henderson’s Full Of Light, who is odds on this morning.
Full Of Light hasn’t jumped a twig in public yet, taking a bumper at Downpatrick before leaving Margaret Mullins for Nicky Henderson.
Bricklagger, who won a Kempton bumper in the Spring at a massive price, has also had a long break before finishing in rear at Huntingdon. Massive price again at 20.0 on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE value.
⭕ 3.05 Carlisle Quinta Da Mar (BETDAQ 3.15) has never been out of the frame after a break, and drops in trip and grade here to this moderate heat in the Challenger series.
Whereas Quinta Da Mar has won over the distance, Itsnotyouitsme is also down in trip to half a mile further than he’s won and 12lb higher.
Joie De Vivre was back to form the last day but has never put back-to-back wins together before.
Onehundredpercent (BETDAQ 4.9) has been first and second in novice events and Brian Ellison had a double at Sedgefield at the weekend.
The Ellison outfit must be buoyed by Tashkhan’s remarkable second in the Long Distance Cup at Ascot, splitting Trueshan and Stradivarius.
⭕ 3.23 Newton Abbot Philip Hobbs is in fine form; so was his winner of this race last year, Arian, until losing her way trying Cheltenham and higher class. That Orrisdale has won after a break makes him the main danger
David Pipe is in modest form (strike rate 7%) and he’s added to Itacare’s wind ops cheekpieces as well as tongue-tie. Puts me right off.
Chinwag started last winter well but is 25lb higher now, with his stable showing a poor strike-rate. BETDAQ value: 4.9 Arian
⭕ 5.00 Wolverhampton All bar one of Brian Meehan’s runners which have started 17-2 or shorter in the last 10 days have won or been placed. Their form figures: 111012213.
His sole runner today is Trail Hawk (BETDAQ 5.3), low down the weights in this nursery, but suggesting the last day that today’s track and trip will be ideal.
Trail Hawk has had three weeks’ rest since a storming run over 7f at Lingfield: ‘led after two furlongs and set a fast pace; three lengths ahead a furlong out, faded final 110 yards.’

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
