7-2 WIN IF YOU FOLLOW DAQMAN: Winner-a-day Daqman was on the mark again yesterday with Follow Your Heart (WON 7-2) and was beaten just a neck and half a length with Rosario (3rd 11-1) but, challenging over the final fences, his nap, Highlands Legacy (3-1), threw his jockey vertically in the saddle at Wetherby and lost all chance.

SANDOWN SELECTIONS: Daqman heads to Sandown on Thursday for his three recommended Betdaq bets.

QUEEN OF SANDOWN IN SEYMOUR

⭕ 2.30 Sandown (Jane Seymour Hurdle Grade 2) As per usual it’s more testing on the hurdles course at Sandown compared with the chase races on today’s Royal Artillery Gold Cup card.

This two and a half mile Grade 2 contest will require plenty of stamina from the five mares over the two and a half mile trip and it’s hard to look beyond the Nicky Henderson trained Holloway Queen – despite her 5lb penalty.

She romped home by 15 lengths in Listed company at Haydock last time out – the winning distance was exaggerated when she was left clear at the last but it was still an impressive win on just her second start over hurdles.

She still holds an entry for the Turners at the Festival which might be a bit lofty unless she storms home here.

The market is made for us by Hollygrove Cha Cha who indeed was edging favouritism on the morning Betdaq Betting Exchange market. The Jamie Snowdon trained runner is a dual winner over hurdles who finished second in Listed company at Taunton last time out when the drop back in trip may have counted against her.

Back up in distance will help and she is another that has Cheltenham entries.

LET’S GO VANGO

⭕ 3.05 Sandown (Royal Artillery Gold Cup) The big race on the card has a competitive feel to it despite there again just being the five runners.

The starting point has to be last year’s winner Farceur Du Large and Major Will Kellard. The pair won well 12 months ago but the race fell apart a bit with only two finishers.

He showed much better form over course and distance in the Grand Military Gold Cup when second to Fil d’Ariane and the pair renew rivalry.

Brodie Hampson has the best record in this with two previous wins and teams up with the progressive chaser Roccovango who has taken well to chasing, despite a relatively late start to fencing for a nine-year-old.

He has won two from his three starts and proved himself over a similar trip at Uttoxeter last time out.

IT’S A CLASSIC

⭕ 4.12 Sandown Classic Anthem’s only win over hurdles came here at Sandown and he can now step up over fences having gone close in two of his three starts so far.

He put a poor run at Newbury behind him with a solid effort at Warwick last time out when a close second to Leader In The Park and a repetition should be good enough despite the 2lb hike.

There’s a couple here with something to prove including front running Jupiter Du Gile and
Mylesfromwicklow who were both pulled up last time out.

Heros will need to come on plenty from his comeback run at Haydock last month when beaten 35 lengths but has place chances if doing so.
