BETDAQ FOR BIG-RACE VALUE: Daqman returns to big–race value-hunting on BETDAQ tomorrow with the opening of the three-day Cheltenham Autumn Gold Cup meeting: Daqman v Pricewise starts with a clean slate for the Jumps after Daqman landed a 63-35 victory on the Flat.

FESTIVAL MARKERS: Today you can check out those races over the three-days which are a guide to the Cheltenham Festival.

KEY FESTIVAL RACES TOMORROW

SEE HOW THEY RAN: Are the winners from this weekend’s three-day Cheltenham meeting worth betting blind for the Cheltenham Festival? This is how the Friday-to-Sunday cards have made their mark.

Not a very big mark, you say. But among some races worth following is the cross-country tomorrow (2.55 race); winners and placed horses in the heats do well; not many animals take to a banks course.

Though fields may be small for the Schloer Chase (2.55 Sunday), it’s an important stepping-stone to the festival.

1.10 Cheltenham tomorrow: Unowhatimeanharry (2015) went on to win the Albert Bartlett.

2.20 Cheltenham tomorrow: Put The Kettle On (2019) Arkle Challenge Trophy

2.55 Cheltenham tomorrow: Balthazar King (2013) Cross-Country; Josies Orders (2015) Cross-Country.

12.35 Cheltenham Saturday: Defi Du Seuil (2016) won the Triumph Hurdle

1.45 Cheltenham Saturday: The Real Whacker (2022) went on to beat Gerri Colombe in the Brown Advisory

2.20 Cheltenham, Saturday: How unlucky can you get! Three years out of four, winners of this Autumn Gold Cup were all second at Cheltenham: Taquin Du Seuil (2016) in the Coral Cup; Splash Of Ginge (2017) and Happy Diva (2019) both in the Brown Advisory.

1.45 Cheltenham, Sunday: Taquin Du Seuil (2013) won the Turners Novices Chase; Protektorat (2020) ran third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

2.55 Cheltenham, Sunday: This Shloer Chase is a good guide. Uxizandre (2014 winner) scored in the Ryanair Chase at the festival; Sprinter Sacre (2016) won the Queen Mother Champion Chase: Fox Norton (2016) was second in the Champion Chase; Put The Kettle On (2020) won the Champion Chase.

3.30 Cheltenham, Sunday: The Shunter (2020) went on to win the Plate.

4.00 Cheltenham, Sunday: Ballyandy (2015) won the Cheltenham Bumper.

ACTION REPLAY – SAME RESULT

⭕ 12.50 Sedgefield A closely matched juvenile hurdle which again brings together Lahire and I’m Too Tired who were split by just half a length over course and distance in October.

I’m Too Tired didn’t seem to build on that run when third at Musselburgh earlier this month when a well beaten third – possibly living up to his name. He was only modest on the flat and not one to take short odds about on Betdaq Betting Exchange in my opinion.

Chief market rival Lahire looks the stronger option. He looked clueless on debut at Uttoxeter but jumped much better when winning here.

He made all the running that day and Brian Hughes will surely try and adopt similar tactics. I see no reason why the form shouldn’t be confirmed if not improved upon given the progress Lahire should make on just his third start (he never ran on the flat) …. and that’s allowing for 7lb Lahire’s penalty.

GALIA TOP-RATING

⭕ 2.50 Market Rasen Bud Booth Mares’ Chase (Listed Race) A decent Listed event for mares in which Galia Des Liteaux can prove the official ratings right.

She’s top rated on 145 and whilst the Skelton team haven’t hit top form yet, it’s encouraging that Galia Des Liteaux has won well fresh before (after a 203 day break) so a similar length absence today doesn’t worry me.

She has a touch of class too and was by no means disgraced when fourth to Gerri Colombe in the Mildmay at Aintree in April.

Three of her four rivals have the benefit of a recent run including Found On who reappeared with a win here over a short trip. She’s capable of putting a sequence together as we saw last year but her winning form has generally come on better ground.

THE LION RINGS TONIGHT

⭕ 8.00 Chelmsford Lion Ring is taken to bounce back to winning form. He finally got off the mark over course and distance two starts ago and didn’t shape badly when third at Lingfield last time out in what looked a better race.

That was more than enough for me to think he remains competitive off his current mark and can see off the challenge of Darlo Pride who continues to go well at this level. Visors replace the blinkers tonight.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
