DAQMAN POSTS 700 WINNING RETURNS OVER PRICEWISE Halfway house in the season with 100 Flat-racing days to go and Daqman audits his big-earner bets so far, and sets out his stall for the rest of the campaign. Today: Daqman v Pricewise, in which Daqman celebrates 700 winning bets over his Racing Post adversary. Tomorrow: the Bulls’-Eye Nap.
KILLARNEY LAUNCH WITH ONE BET: LAKEMILAN WON 11-8 Daqman launched his Killarney Festival coverage with two tips, one for yesterday, one for Thursday (Light That 4.25). Yesterday’s was easy winner Lakemilan (WON 11-8). There’s another one today after the English racing selections.
20 MORE FOR 1,000 WINNING BETS
Pivoine was pivotal. Daqman’s weekend big-race double of Pivoine (WON 14-1) in the John Smith’s Cup and Japan in the Grand Prix at Longchamp notched up 700 winning bets over Pricewise, who in 11 seasons and the 109 days of the current Flat has scored 280.
Pivoine followed other big-odds hits for Daqman this term, including Western Dawn (WON 20-1 from 28.0 on BETDAQ), Phoenix Of Spain (WON 16-1) and Hermosa (WON 14-1).
The benefits of BETDAQ betting were also revealed by success with such as Cadmium (WON 8-1 from 24.0 on BETDAQ), Zaaki (WON 9-1 from 14.0) and Aquarium (WON 13-2 from 11.0).
Those who follow the Daqman-Pricewise challenge are now 20 wins short of 1,000 returns in less than six years, as Daqman now targets his Flat-season best score of 105 in 2015.

INHERIT FROM HERITAGE
2.15 Beverley As always at Beverley, it’s about the draw in the five furlong handicaps and I’m sure it’s just coincidence that the horses drawn 15, 16, 17 have all been taken out of this competitive sprint !!!
Trainer Nigel Tinkler is in good form with seven winners from his last 32 runners over the last fortnight. He must stand a good chance here with Hello Girl who is drawn in stall two and comes here on the back of a fair effort at Ayr last time out when finishing sixth over six furlongs.
She had previously won over six furlongs at Lingfield but has plenty of pace and shouldn’t be troubled by the drop back in trip. This will only be her fourth start for Tinkler having joined from Dean Ivory’s yard and she looks a solid win and place proposition on BETDAQ.
In pole position of stall one is Mr Greenlight who remains a maiden after 10 starts. He did run one of his better races over course and distance earlier this month when chasing home Ginger Jam and with a better draw today comes into the reckoning for sure.
The market is also speaking favourably for Atyaaf whose only win has come on the all-weather but shaped with promise at Nottingham last time out and he’s pretty well drawn here in five.
2.45 Beverley Three non runners have reduced this handicap to just three runners and left the Mark Johnston trained Rochester House as a very short priced favourite – too short in my opinion for a horse trying the trip for the first time.
There’s a slight chance it might stretch him too far – he was headed just inside the final furlong at Doncaster last time out over 1m 6f and at the prices there’s limited downside in taking a chance with ‘outsider of three’ Flower Power who is at least a winner over this trip at Catterick. She’s 4lb out of the handicap here but with stamina questions also about the other runner, Snookered, she could actually take this by default if the other two don’t get home. I’m happy to take that chance at around 8.6 on BETDAQ.
4.30 Bath Firm ground has reduced the field sizes at Bath – a course where they are unable to water.
Heritage didn’t prove much, or beat much when scampering home by seven lengths over five furlongs here last time but it’s highly likely likely she’s capable of more and with the cheekpieces on again she could easily take some pegging back on her return to handicap company.
Clive Cox may have unlocked the secret to success with her – the cheekpieces and the shorter trip – all her previous efforts were over six and seven furlongs.
DEALER HANDS ME 28.0 WILD CARD
6.20 Killarney I’m relying here on my spies at Bellewstown to have found me a couple of hidden horses at big odds for a pair of holiday bets, and what a pair if they land a Ladbrokes forecast!
Joseph O’Brien’s string went through a lean spell but he’s had 10 winners in July so far and, though still a maiden, Rehoboth Beach (BETDAQ 16.0 taken), was backed at Bellewstown 11 days ago, with his brother Donnacha in the saddle for the first time. Unfortunately the saddle slipped early on and the rest was just an exercise gallop.
The previous day at Bellewstown, beach-trained Able Dealer (BETDAQ 28.0 taken) was seen coming off worst in a bumping match a furlong out.
His handler, John Joseph Murphy, won this race for three years running (2013-15), one an outsider at 14-1 and the last of them ridden by the current champion jockey, Colin Keane, who now takes over on Able Dealer for the first time.
