INDIANA LOOKS WORTH A(D)VENTURE

⭕ 2.47 Hamilton Small field sizes at Hamilton today and there might be even fewer who can handle the expected good to soft ground having being declared on quicker ground expectations.

In this mile handicap Calypso has no prior experience with give in the ground and a lot of people are likely to get drawn in by Hale End who is prominent in the Betdaq Betting Exchange market.

Trained by Darlington based Michael Dods, Hale End was seemingly transformed by the first time cheekpieces when bolting up by four lengths over course and distance last time out but the whopping 10lb hike by the handicapper is surely a steadier?

Preference is for Indiana Be who finally lost his maiden tag when making all at Ripon after a series of good placed efforts. That win hardly came as a shock as he was a 2/13 shot in the market.

His subsequent effort at Haydock was ok in a race better than this one. He was fifth, beaten two and a half lengths and it would be no surprise today to see him try and make all the running as he was headstrong last time and they might revert to Ripon tactics and not fight him. The give in the ground should also be fine.

FIFTEEN – LUCKY FOR SOME

⭕ 8.30 Ffos Las Lucky Fifteen is very much still on the upgrade and can take this ten furlong handicap and complete his hat-trick.

The Ralph Beckett trained runner failed to show much last year but has improved significantly in his three starts in handicap company and landed the odds with something up his sleeve at Goodwood last month.

The obvious danger is Intricacy whose Sandown run last month reads well and off the same mark will press the selection.

DREAM RESULT

⭕ 9.00 Ffos Las The closing two mile handicap might be best left to Masterdream who can add a first flat success to his three wins over hurdles. He takes a drop in class following his Bath third last time out and a reproduction of that effort should prove strong enough.

Tin Fandango has been fairly well beaten in three starts this year and his winning form has come on much softer ground.

A bigger danger may emerge from King Charles if able to replicate some of his good recent AW form back on the grass.
