ANOTHER WIN FOR KING DAQMAN: As one of his jockeys to follow, Daqman yesterday picked out Rossa Ryan, who duly obliged at Windsor last night on The Dragon King (WON 11-4). The 12th Daqman winner in eight days, he paid for most of Monday’s outlay in the special staking plan.

* A full list of last week’s tipping success is in yesterday’s Daqman.

GLORIOUS HORSES TO FOLLOW: Meanwhile Daqman nominates his great eight Fortune Cookies for the rest of the campaign, starting with one at Newbury on Saturday, and with two earmarked for Glorious Goodwood.

THE ‘SUMMER’ OF SPORT

The great ‘summer’ of sport continues with inspections at Beverley (passed) and Nottingham (abandoned after 33mm of rain overnight).

I’ll give Beverley the swerve as nothing really stood out on the card and it would be no surprise to see a few non runners start to creep in.

⭕ 6.00 Kempton The opener might be best left to the only course and distance winner in the field Crafty Spirit.

His CD win came in May (Grecian God back in third) and trainer Clive Cox cited the change to ‘standard to slow’ all-weather going as being a positive for his charge.

It’s not a factor that is often considered in that most people think all all-weather is always the same going but if we are to go down that route it’s reassuring to know he gets the same standard to slow surface at Kempton tonight and hopefully the first time blinkers will prove another positive.

ZEEBAND TO LAND ‘WIN 20’

⭕ 7.45 Killarney The start of their July Festival but a fairly moderate card with a few impossible looking handicaps to solve.

Good going this morning but again rain is forecast so I’m looking for selections than can handle some cut in the ground.

Original top weight Tapian ticked the box and is on a remarkably consistent run of form 22112 but Jessie Harrington’s runner was taken out of the race this morning leaving the Gordon Elliott trained Samul as favourite on Betdaq Betting Exchange.

Samul is better known for his jumping and is still unexposed on the flat. He is interesting now stepped up in trip.

I’ll take a chance though with Zeeband who has been off the course for 866 days but that’s only on the flat. He proved his current prowess with an easy win over hurdles at Bangor 18 days ago.

He’s been fairly highly tried since moving to Ireland but this is much easier and he will appreciate any of the forecast rain.

At morning double figure odds I’ll try a WIN 20 return.

FAIRY GETS MY LIQUIDITY

⭕ 8.00 Kempton It’s a day for low stakes speculative choices and that continues here where I thought Beeley looked a little short (likely to go off odds-on) for the Gosdens.

Her form is solid enough but she has yet to face the all-weather and headgear is applied after just three starts. She looks short enough.

She has a fair rival on her hands with Fairy Glen who might make this competitive despite conceding weight.

She pulled nicely clear with Ville Natale to win at Wolverhampton and the runner-up came out to win next time at Chelmsford.

That marked a huge improvement on her debut run and further improvement looks likely.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
