MARKING YOUR CARD: Daqman checks out the stats and facts for the weekend’s big races at York: Yorkshire Oaks, Lonsdale Cup and Ebor Handicap.
THE FULL 90 MINUTES: In 90 minutes’ play tonight, Daqman hopes to land a nap and a bull’s-eye bet to pay for his York selections tomorrow.
DAQMAN YORK PREVIEW
Mark Your Card for Wednesday: see Daqman yesterday
⭕ 3.35 York, Thursday (Yorkshire Oaks): Aidan O’Brien has won four of the last five runnings. He had four of the six probables left in Thursday’s renewal at the last declaration stage: Bedtime Story, Garden Of Eden, Minni Hauk and Whirl.
ADVANCE TIP: Three-year-olds have scored 8-10 in both the Yorkshire Oaks (3.35) and the Galtres Stakes (4.10)
FUTURE FAME: Yorkshire Oaks winners Enable (2017) and Alpinista (2022) both went on to win the Arc de Triomphe.
⭕ 2.25 York, Friday (Lonsdale Cup): Team Gosden (4) and two each for Andrew Balding and Willie Mullins in the decade.
Eight out of 10 winners were drawn in stalls 1 to 5. Eight out of 10 were aged five or six.
⭕ 3.30 York, Saturday (Ebor Handicap): The Irish have won this four times in six seasons with different trainers: Henry De Bromhead, Ger Lyons, Johnny Murtagh and Willie Mullins.
The last five Ebors have been so strong at the front of the market that two favourites have won and no winner was bigger than 10-1 at SP.
The last two were winner and fourth in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham. Ethical Diamond (Mullins) was fourth in the same race in March.
CADARN OFFERS TOO BIG
⭕ 4.00 Kempton, today: This class-3 (7f) handicap is the quality race of the day, would you believe (roll on, York)!
CD winner here last week, Grand Traverse gets a 5lb penalty and moves up a grade, with every one of his three strikes since coming over from France in class 4.
Baldomero has been winning over shorter on turf but scored at Kempton in his younger days as far as 1m 2f.
Group placed in Ireland and Listed winner in sprints, Wodao tries this trip for the first time and could bounce back, dropped 11lb since joining Jamie Osborne last summer.
Back-to-back mile winner in the Spring, one from the front one from the rear, Cadarn is also looking for a return to form after a break since weakening quickly in the Dubai Mile at York in June. Betdaq Betting Exchange 9.6 offers are too big.
Lexington Belle has had a longer holiday – just one run this season – and I will wait to see her on soft-ground turf (trainer Alice Haynes form 0-38).
Dubai Beach is 18lb higher than when scoring here in June over a mile (class 5), and Saeed bin Suroor disappointed me at Ripon (City Walk) and Southwell (Warm Summer) at the weekend.
Tennessee Gold is 2-3 at Kempton and gives the impression he has been working towards this race but he is 5lb higher than his last winning mark and has never even been placed in class 3.
MODERNA SET FOR MURPHY
⭕ 5.05 Kempton First time in handicap, Moderna drops to sprinting in first-time hood and tongue-tie for Oisin Murphy who takes over the rides for Imad Alsagar from Holly Doyle, whose rides for him netted £1.4m from 38 winners.
⭕ 5.30 Chepstow: I’m trying for four out of five winners from unraced two-year-olds when I take Green Dame to show on the track what she promises at home for George Boughey. BETDAQ 8.8 with Berlinetta the saver.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
