THREE WINNING NAPS IN ROW FOR DAQMAN: Daqman did it yet again yesterday, with his third consecutive winning nap after six out of seven successful supernaps. He reiterated his staking plan, aimed at a daily profit if just one horse wins. And how! The nap, Vivant (WON 13-8), made sure he finished 23 points up on the day.

WON 8-11 ROARING LION (supernap, Saturday)
WON 11-8 EZIYRA (supernap, Sunday)
WON 13-8 VIVANT (nap, yesterday)

FORTUNE COOKIES 1,017 POINTS UP

Twenty-six big-race winners. That’s how Daqman’s horses to follow have served you well, not least his famous Fortune Cookies which topped 1,000 points profit until a few dips, but the overall list is now back on 1,017 thanks a lot to Laurens 10-1 win.

Daqman’s revised autumn cookies next week will look at the British Champions races, the Arc meeting and the two-year-old Classic trials.

LEDHAM TO LEAD’EM HOME

4.20 Yarmouth Dosc might be vulnerable under a penalty here. He came back after a break to win over the minimum trip at Newcastle but it was a narrow success in a modest contest and penalties are hard enough to defy at the best of times. He should be suited by the step up in trip though.

I thought Poyle George Two looked a credible alternative with man of the moment Oisin Murphy in the saddle.

The Ralph Beckett trained runner was beaten a fair way at Windsor on debut but then showed plenty more at Southwell last time out to finish third. The step up in trip should also help his chances and he is preferred.

Heavenly Guest is the market leader on BETDAQ at the time of writing which is a shock in itself as he has started at 20/1, 33/1 and 66/1 in his three races to date. There were definite signs of ability at Kempton last time out when he was third to Fennaan but it came over seven furlongs, so question marks today over both the drop back in trip and his first start for 160 days.

4.30 Lingfield Very tight looking five runner handicap in which Groveman is taken to bounce back to form on his all-weather debut.

He picked up races at Bath and Salisbury before disappointing at Goodwood which I don’t think was at all a true reflection of his ability.

Oasis Fantasy is a model of consistency but a serial placer who still looks firmly in the grips of the handicapper.

7.00 Kempton Class 3 handicap looks a decent race on paper and at the mercy of the Sir Michael Stoute trained Ledham who made hard work of landing the odds at Wolverhampton but then ran a better race when stepped up in class and distance to finish second to History Writer at Sandown last time out.

Like so many from the stable, he looks like a gradual improver and doesn’t look too harshly treated. Ryan Moore makes the journey from Lingfield to Sunbury for this one ride.

Wufud makes his handicap debut after winning at Ffos Las but I think will prove more inferior to the nap than the official ratings of 3lb would indicate.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 20 points)
BET 7.1pts win POYLE GEORGE TWO (4.20 Yarmouth)
BET 10pts win GROVEMAN (4.30 Lingfield)
BET 11.2pts win (nap) LEDHAM (7.00 Kempton)
