11-2 WINNER GIVES DAQMAN FOUR RETURNS IN TWO DAYS: There was a joyful ending to Daqman’s day yesterday which put him in front for the second day running. Not the dream of a 27-winner streak which ended last week, but a fourth winning bet in two days was back to that par.

TUESDAY AT LEICESTER: DAQMAN hones in on the Leicester card on Tuesday with all three bets running there.
‘UP HILLS’ THE BIG-ODDS PORTLAND CRY
⚠️ HEADS UP: The four-day Doncaster St Leger meeting gets under way tomorrow, clearly a feast for Godolphin over the last decade, with Saeed Bin Surror 14 times successful, and one for another Godolphin yard, before Charlie Appleby moved in with three winners more recently.
The big races are Thursday: Park Hill Stakes, May Hill Stakes; Friday: Doncaster Cup, Flying Childers; Saturday: Portland Handicap, Champagne Stakes, St Leger.
Charles Hills, who has won the race twice at big prices (14-1 and 25-1), has last year’s winner, A Momentofmadness, and Spoof left in the Portland on Saturday.
Aidan O’Brien has 10 remaining in the Champagne Stakes. If he reduced his team down to just one, he would cut the field by half! O’Brien is only the sixth highest scorer among trainers in the decade.
As winner of the St Leger twice, it was a no-brainer that William Buick would replace Oisin Murphy on Dashing Willoughby. Buick was apprentice champion when riding for the colt’s trainer, Andrew Balding, 10 years back.
Fifth to Stradivarius in the Goodwood Cup, Dashing Willoughby won the Queens’ Vase at Royal Ascot, the race Kew Gardens took last year before his Leger.

⚠️ HEADS UP: Meanwhile, O’Brien has 26 left in the Champions Juvenile Stakes (3.05) at Leopardstown the same evening.
Big race of the meeting is the Irish Champion Stakes (4.15), in which Magical, Japan and Crystal Ocean are due to clash. And that’s where Oisin Murphy will be, riding the Japanese star, Deidre.
Sunday’s Vincent O’Brien National Stakes now appears to be a match between Pinatubo and Armory, with Siskin diverted to the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket at the end of the month.
WOODHOUSE SOLID NAP
2.20 Leicester Woodhouse went in to my tracker (and no doubt plenty of others too) when making a pleasing debut at Newbury where she was third to Game And Set and Star In The Making.
She ran green that day and looked as though she would come on bundles and gets her chance to progress today. The better ground should also be in her favour.
The market should hold up well and ensure we get a price above the evens line as Amber Island has also shown promise in her first two starts,
She ran a race full of promise on debut at Newmarket when third but it was disappointing that she wasn’t good enough to win a Yarmouth maiden next time out when she was sent off favourite. Yarmouth maidens don’t usually take much winning, although in mitigation this one was probably above average.
Woodhouse should have the greater scope however and the market should prove the best guide to the debutants. The Charlie Hills trained Turaath was weak on the BETDAQ early market and even more so the John Gosden trained Fleet Street.
There are sure to be plenty of clues for the future but in terms of today’s race it should all be about experience.
3.20 Leicester Oisin Murphy’s march towards his first title is unrelenting snd he looks set to chalk up another winner here with Isobar Wind.
The David Evans trained runner was fourth at Ffos Las last time in a race that looked much better than it’s official class 5 status and was certainly above average for the course.
Needless to say this represents a big drop in class and seven furlongs on quick ground could be optimum conditions.
He showed what he is capable of in selling grade when making all at Ripon in July for a six length win and certainly wasn’t stopping at the end of that 6f trip.
Murphy is great at keeping things simple and a front running ride looks on the cards in a modest contest.
5.25 Leicester Michael Appleby is proving one the season star trainers – producing excellent results from (with respect) some modest ammunition and has landed quite a few punts in the process.
The stable had a red letter day at Kempton on Saturday with Kasbaan’s success in the class 2 London Mile Final and it’s interesting to see a little money about for Sea Of Mystery here.
I was keen on his chance anyway based on an improved run at Brighton last time out and he might be the one to at last stop the winning run of Compass Pouint who bids for a four-timer but his hat-trick has come on the all-weather.
