BETDAQ BIG-RACE VALUE
Cambridgeshire already? You cannot be serious! In fact, Saturday’s race is the Irish Cambridgeshire at the Curragh, one month ahead of the Newmarket version.
But it’s a race you can reduce from a pinstickers’ problem to form-and-stats pockets of play at huge odds.
Winning SPs since 2017 include: 10-1 (twice), 14-1, 20-1, 22-1, 25-1, 28-1 (twice). And you can guarantee that offers on BETDAQ match those prices or are bigger, sometimes much bigger.
For every big race, I search out the morning value, but the total percentage is listed all day as the market progresses to the ‘off.’
If you were looking for an Ebor bet last Saturday, you could see on ITV similar annotation on screen of the bookies’ total percentage on the race as they went to post.
It was 147% so you could say that up to half your money was being taken within that screened set of odds as soon as you backed your choice.
I always have my Daq up as I approach a race but, having seen that 147, I did a double take when I glanced at the BETDAQ offers: on-screen total percentage 103.
After all these years, I still can’t get used to such incredible value. Now here’s where Saturday’s hunt begins:
⭕ 4.37 Curragh, Saturday (Irish Cambridgeshire) AGES: 4yo 4, 5yo 3. WEIGHT: 9st 3lb or less 7-10. STALLS: 1 to 6 (4), 19 to 27 (5). LAYS LOGIC: Favourites 0-10.
TRAINERS: Joseph O’Brien two (at 28-1 and 22-1 SP), Dermot Weld two (at 8-1 and 10-1), Jessica Harrington, Gerard Keane, Ger Lyons and Aidan O’Brien one each.
HAPPY HOLIDAY TIME..
⭕ 2.05 Ripon Successful after a two-month break last Spring, again in January after four months off, and most recently after seven weeks’ away for a gelding op.
That’s the happy-holiday life for Time Tested and his punters, who returns today after 166 days. Huge value at Betdaq Betting Exchange 7.2.
BET BANTZ AT THE TRIP
⭕ 4.20 Musselburgh Even in smallish fields, a low draw is essential to take this 7f race: 2, 3, 4, 5 have won them all to date, with every favourite beaten.
The last runner saddled by Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore was a winner on the last day of York and they’ve booked Paul Mulrennan for South Road (stall 3). BETDAQ 7.0 taken.
Compare that with his only success a 40-1 surprise to connections, so we can’t be sure the market or the stable knows what’s what!
You could say that Our Nicola (among SPs this year: 50-1 twice and 200-1) has had the surprises lined up but they’ve not happened!
Bantz (out of stall 4) is the only distance winner in the race and might be worth your pound. BETDAQ 9.4.
LUCK BE A LADY TODAY
⭕ 4.40 Lingfield It often pays to check out big-time jockey bookings by a small yard; the busy boy at the top of his profession is able to pick the plums when they come along.
Laser Luck was not wanted at 28-1 first time out but was 3.85 favourite for this in the morning BETDAQ exchanges.
A step up in trip and Oisin Murphy could make the difference for a filly with stamina up to 2m at Group level on the dam’s side.
Trainer Brian Toomey won in July with his only other two-year-old runner on turf this year: 25-1.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
