STREETS AHEAD

⭕ 1.35 Clonmel Gordon Elliott has scored with his last three runners (Ayr hat-trick yesterday) and has several good chances on today’s Clonmel card which needed to pass a morning inspection.

He runs Spinningayarn here who ran no sort of a race in a bumper at Naas on his rules debut. He was sent off at evens but beaten a staggering 75 lengths to build on two Point successes but flopped without explanation.

He’s surely better than what he showed that day but it’s hard to back him with any degree of confidence in a race where there are a couple of credible alternatives with better recent form.

That Danny Feeling brings good form to the table including bumper wins at Killarney and Listowel but has yet to handle ground as testing as this.

A better option might be Parnell Street who also has ground question marks but brings the best form into the race and should be suited by the step up in trip.

The trio dominate the Betdaq Betting Exchange market and it’s hard to say who will go off favourite.

A NAP I LIKEALOT

⭕ 2.00 Lingfield Another nine race card at Lingfield. When has this suddenly become ‘a thing’?

This class 4 is as good as it gets and presents a good opportunity for Likealot to get back on the winning run after a string of solid placed efforts. She’s best when leading and hopefully won’t be pegged back in this company.

Charlie’s Choice has a similar profile to the selection but is up in grade and hasn’t really built on early career promise. Also his trainer David Simcock is currently 0-12.

ON THE AGENDA

⭕ 5.15 Newcastle Just the four runners here but three of them can be given a great chance.

Preference is for Up The Agenda who won at Yarmouth two starts ago before getting stuck in the mud when well beaten on heavy ground at Nottingham last time out.

Somebody has built up a frustrating form sequence of 527226692 the most recent effort being a course and distance runner-up in October. The handicapper hasn’t been charitable with a 2lb hike.

Houndhill has only raced three times so is still progressive on his handicap debut.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
