THREE NAPS UP OUT OF FOUR: DAQMAN landed his third winning nap out of four yesterday, a 5-2 splash on Bathgate, winning 20 points at Catterick for 5.50 profit on the day. But there was a bigger haul to be had if you followed his Lays Logic. He opposed two morning favourites: both drifted and failed to reach the frame.

WON 5-2 BATHGATE (Monday nap)
WON 4-11 LULAMBA (Saturday supernap)
WON 7-4 MARIA DA SILVA (Friday nap)

* LAYS LOGIC (2-2): Marlacco unplaced 5-2 joint favourite and Renes Walk unplaced 6-1 SP

WEATHER WOES: The rain continues to play havoc. Ffos Las is off today and Wetherby must now pass an 8am inspection ahead of racing on Wednesday.

FIDELIUS TUESDAY NAP

⭕ 1.48 Lingfield An interesting five furlong handicap in which the two previous course and distance winners are the outsiders on the Betdaq Betting Exchange.

At the front end of market Fidelius should prove hard to beat after running consistently well from his new mark since his Newcastle win last November.

He was only beaten three quarters of a length in his last two races at Lingfield and Southwell and should appreciate this drop back to class 4 level.

Star Chorus looks the danger having been beaten just a neck into third over course and distance last time out. He’ll again be doing his best work in the closing stages.

A MAX BET

⭕ 2.48 Lingfield This won’t take much winning and might be best left to Tilsworth Max who won over seven furlongs here in January and has also run well since in third. All the evidence suggests he should be able to cope with the step up to a mile.

Angelika K was heading the morning market. The mare is a class dropper who drops to this grade following her fair fifth at Kempton last time out.

Wrist Art would come right into it if you are prepared to forgive his run last time out but it’s a big if. He finished stone last at Newcastle – beaten 21 lengths – with connections unable to offer any explanation for the poor performance. Probably best watched today.

STILL A FIGHTER

⭕ 7.15 Newcastle Spartan Fighter’s bid for a course and distance four-timer came up narrowly short last time out when he was beaten just a neck by Pit Boss but off the same mark tonight can go close in this better company.

DC Cogent went close at Southwell last time out in December and is having his first start since off a one pound higher mark.

A bigger danger might come from Northern Attitude whose string of placed efforts will surely convert into a first win sooner rather than later and she again well ran on her first start for her new stable last month at Southwell.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
