BACK-TO-BACK LAYS LANDED: Two out of four for Daqman yesterday, including a 10-pointer on Felix Younger (WON 11-10), produced only a break-even on the day. His naps sequence ended at 19 consecutive in the frame. But his lays are running again – after 13 in a row, then 18 until a blip on Saturday – with two more back to back: Collodi (last of 12 at 5-1) following Mango Cap (3rd 10-11 favourite). He’s now hit 30 from 33.
THROUGH THE BETDAQ CARD: Daqman takes you through today’s BETDAQ-sponsored card at Kempton, after nine winning bets there on the last day of November, and 14 at the last BETDAQ meeting (Doncaster December 11). In total he had nine winners, including a 5-1 nap and a banker, and 13 lays without losing.

WILD ABOUT HARRY FOR A PLACE..
2.10 Kempton (Betdaq.com 2% Commission Handicap) Three-year-olds are going for a hat-trick in this, but have to show improvement.
Putaringonit is stepped up a grade after beating a big field at Lingfield; Karnage was promising at Wolverhampton; mile winner Golden Wedding is experimenting with the longer trip and, like Karnage, has to do extra work anyway, because drawn on the outside.
An older horse, I’m Harry, could be hard to beat. His weight is down to his last winning mark, and he completed back-to-back wins on the course as a five-year-old: 13.5 offers on BETDAQ early mouse make him my place bet of the race.
Red Dragon was placed here last time off a low draw but has a stinker in 14 today and the yard’s last four runners have finished 57 lengths off the winners, more like an NH measure of failure.

FRANK SHOULD OUTSHINE JEBEDIAH
2.40 Kempton (Betdaq.com £50 In Free Bets Handicap) Old-timers Taajub, Desert Strike and Burning Thread – despite his recent win here – are lower in the ratings than they have won off previously.
Searchlight, Royal Birth and Taajub are closely matched on their winter campaign of 2014-15.
Sandfrankskipsgo has the best of the weights over Burning Thread and Pensax Lad on their recent CD form, which has since been franked by Pensax Lad at Chelmsford.
Jebediah Shine won over this CD last year and ran well on the last day. She must be pretty tough to score back-to-back on the stiff Beverley sprint course but punters are worried about the stable’s modest form and she’s offered at 16.0.
WIN Sanfrankskipsgo PLACE Jebediah Shine
PRISOM FORM HAS BEEN BOOSTED
3.10 Kempton (Betdaq.com – Serious About Sport Nursery Handicap) The handicapper panicked when he saw Song Of Paradise race through late to be third here to Fruit Salad (5f) last month and whacked on a 24lb rise, which is quite a hit for a maiden to take, unless of course he knew he’d badly boobed in his original assessment anyway.
She is certainly bred for the job but has started unfancied at 100-1, 66-1 and finally at 33-1 for that Kempton race; so she could have been flattered.
That’s borne out by the morning market which you’d expect to reflect the big bump up to her new-found status. She’s not even favourite.
That dubious honour in an open race goes to Wolver winner Prisom, with the form of her success boosted by that Kempton win for runner-up Fruit Salad.
Winter Hey Lane (Richard Fahey) and Vroom (Charlie Fellowes) take in their first handicap after the three qualifying maidens.
Fahey is badly missing strike with form figures of 44405322, and it’s almost three years since he had a winner at Kempton, despite 60 attempts since that time.
WIN Prisom LAY Winter Hey Lane
PUNTERS LAUGH AT THE OPPOSITION
4.10 Kempton (Download The Betdaq App Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, Division 1) Roger Varian had four winners from six runners last week, three of them two-year-old maidens, one first time out. A good omen for Andaz, drawn to get a flyer.
John Gosden is also in good form and his Laugh Alopud is half-sister to an Arlington Million winner and was all the rage this morning. Andrew Balding’s Great And Small (13.5 on BETDAQ as I write) is a Galileo, related to Fame And Glory.
Another well bred in a quality maiden is Pietrafiore, Godolphin-owned sister to a Dubai W orld Cup winner, but she has a high draw to overcome and the market has Laugh Aloud a shade of odds on as I write.
WIN Laugh Aloud PLACE Great And Small LAY Pietrafiore
STARS HAS CLASSIC PEDIGREE
4.40 Kempton (Download The Betdaq App Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, Division 2) Saeed Bin Suroor ) – three wins out of six – puts cheekpieces on Forest Lakes after her first run, fourth here at Kempton six weeks back.
Forest Lakes was beaten by fillies trained John Gosden and Ralph Beckett, who run debutantes Jamaica Inn and Golden Chapter respectively here.
Jamaica Inn is by the sire of the middle-distance champion we crowned at Ascot in October out of a sister to an oaks winner.
But Gosden’s first string is Stars Ay Night, half-sister to a 1,000 Guineas and Oaks winner. She shouldmbe ready now after her debut fourth.

DIAMONDS IS THE TRUMP CARD
5.10 Kempton (Betdaq.com 50% Commission Refund Nursery Handicap) Gosden has the beautifully-bred Kalkrand in this but the widest draw of all in 12 is off-putting and BETDAQ punters agree. Though paper favourite, he was being offered at 9.0 this morning.
William Haggas is in terrific form, with four wins and three places from his last nine starters, a brace of those winners being two-year-old maidens like Trespassed: 19.0 as I wrote.
Bag Of Diamonds drops two grades from his Lingfield win, yet doesn’t even make top weight. Or favourite.
Second and third home that day had both won their previous starts, and Bag Of Diamonds’ 5lb rise is partly wiped out by Tom Marquand’s 3lb claim.
Miss Pimpernel beat Bag of Diamonds at Chelmsford in October but hasn’t been seen since, is not well drawn and there is a turnaround of 5lb in the weights today, all told.
Another worry is Lady Canford, who finished in front of Bag of Diamonds at Lingfield last month but is also drawn high today.

A TALE OF TWO STABLES..
1.15 Catterick No jokes about Twiston and turnin in the saddle. Sam has chosen a bad time – after falling off (and falling off again) – to take it personally and publically decide to improve his riding technique.
Twiston-Davies must well know about the poor form of his Paul Nicholls stable – Old Guard’s win on Saturday is surrounded by another 23 losers – and he will want to get the best out of Warriors Tale.
He ran a cracker first time for Sam and Paul after being switched from Nicky Richards’ yard.
The irony here is that Richards trains unbeaten-under-Rules Hester Flemen and his stale had four winners out of five at the end of last week: I took 4.8 as a first position, looking for an easy in the odds-on about Warriors Tale as a saver later on.
