SOME ENTRANCED EVENING

⭕ 6.05 Newbury It’s by no means a brilliant card by usual course standards but the Berkshire track without doubt host the best racing on Tuesday.

This class 4 handicap can go to the filly Entrancement who relished the step-up to this trip at Goodwood last time out and only went down by a nose to Ayyab. She looked unlucky that day and can go one better, even allowing for the 3lb rise in the weights.

Whilst her previous wins have come with give in the ground the Goodwood run was on good suggesting she might well be versatile going wise.

Eben Zaabeel was heading the morning market but hasn’t achieved a great deal so far. His form is solid enough and he remains progressive but improvement from his handicap debut at Salisbury is more than factored into his current price.

Marhaba Million could do better for handicapping but is totally unproven on the ground and one I will be watching but not backing.

JUNE HAT-TRICK FOR NAP?

⭕ 7.15 Newbury Yantarni is taken to complete his June hat-trick. It’s no surprise to see trainer Ian Williams running him again so soon under a statutory 5lb penalty as the five-year-old is in a rich vein of form and is also entered up at Newmarket on Thursday.

Whether he takes up that engagement as well remains to be seen but he has looked good at Lingfield winning both starts this month and in the latest effort travelled particularly well and seemed to have more in hand than the official two a quarter length official margin.

PAYING LIP SERVICE

⭕ 7.50 Newbury Mick Appleby has yet again worked his magic with Lipsink whose rating had plummeted (high of 96 to 64) when trained by Michael Cowell.

Lipsink made a winning debut for Appleby on his first start for the yard when winning at Nottingham earlier in the month despite going off an unconsidered 16/1 shot.

He was brave that day – he looked likely to be swallowed up inside the final furlong but battled on well.

The handicapper has reacted by putting him up 4lb but there’s every chance he will come on for that run and remains on a very lenient handicap mark.

It’s a competitive finale but he can see off the challenge of Chasseral and Snuggle who look the main dangers on the Betdaq Betting Exchange market.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
