LADY LANDS 6-5 NAP: Daqman started the new week in front thanks to a winning nap with Lady Balko who continued the good recent run of trainer David Pipe. The mare put in a series of spectacular leaps at Plumpton where she made all the running.

Monday: profit on the day 2.70
WON 6-5 LADY BALKO (nap)

SWITCH TO ALL-WEATHER NAP: Daqman keeps Tuesday stakes low with bets from all three meetings – Catterick, Wincanton and a later nap from Newcastle.

LONG WALK: Stay tuned later in the week for Daqman’s views on Saturday’s big races including the Grade 1 Long Walk at Ascot for which 12 have been entered including recent multiple winners Strong Leader and The Wallpark.

KOSAC NOT ORDINARY

⭕ 3.29 Catterick I don’t tend to ply my trade much in bumpers as by definition we don’t have much to form to work with and often debutants which, at best, can only be educated guesswork.

I can’t let this race pass me by though as I think Kosac D’Oudairies sets the bar at quite a high level for a Catterick bumper.

Trained by Jamie Snowdon, Kosac D’Oudairies made an 11 length winning point debut in Ireland and a perfectly satisfactory start in the UK when fifth at Newton Abbot on heavy ground.

He should improve for that run and the easier conditions but the really key point is the runner-up from that race Supreme Malinas (who looked unlucky) went on to win a Listed bumper at Huntingdon so the form can definitely be upgraded.

That experience might just give him the edge over chief Betdaq Betting Exchange rival Cobbler’s Boy who showed promise on his point debut when second in Ireland and makes his rules debut here.

JADE LOOKS A GEM

⭕ 3.45 Wincanton Trainer forms here swings me towards the Charlie Longsdon (3 winners from last 11) trained Imperial Jade.

The mare looked good when making all to win at Chepstow last year but lost her way since.

Her two efforts since wind surgery have been much improved, including her course and distance third last time out when she was unlucky not to have finished closer having been hampered on the turn for home.

She can see off the challenge of Sweet Caroline (woh, woh, woh!) who is up 6lb for winning what looked a modest contest at Fontwell last time out.

POINTS BACK TO VOLENTI

⭕ 4.30 Newcastle My instinct was to take Volenti on under his 5lb penalty for his course and distance win last week but I watched the race again and he had plenty in hand at the finish.

Trainer Ben Haslam has got him in a rich vein of form and there’s nothing really standing out in opposition.

There are too many question marks over the likes of Leap Year Lad (form tailed off and now first start since wind surgery) and Commander Crouch (1 win from 25) who lost ground at the start when running here over seven furlongs last time out on first run for Gemma Tutty.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
