MORE THAN A CAMEO ROLE
⭕ 3.17 Curragh Staffordstown Stud Stakes A midweek Group 3 to look forward to at the Curragh where the ground is heavy.
As ever Aidan O’Brien holds the aces – in this case three of them with Camo, Sugar Island and Ice Dancer who are 1-2-3 in the Betdaq Betting Exchange betting on the race.
Two of the three have confirmed form on heavy ground. Ice Dancer improved on a modest debut here to win on heavy at Gowran whilst Cameo’s first try on testing ground resulted in a comfortable win over stablemate Together Now at the Curragh last tine out.
This is a huge step-up in class for the O’Brien trio but the percentage call has to be with Cameo who should also be suited by the step up from seven furlongs to a mile.
THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR EXETER
⭕ 4.00 Exeter It’s third time lucky for Exeter with their season finally getting underway after two weather related false starts.
Cinnodin looks the call in this class 5 handicap hurdle for the in form yard of Jamie Snowdon (6 winners from their last 16 runners.
Cinnodin is a six time winner on the flat who has adjusted well to the hurdles progressing in all three starts with his best effort coming at Southwell last time out taking silver in a higher class 4 event.
Unspeakable looks the main danger given he escapes a penalty for a chase win last week. His overall strike-rate over hurdles of 1-12 is inferior to his record over the larger obstacles which might be a factor here.
PINNED DOWN THE NAP
⭕ 7.00 Newcastle Terrapin looks the pick of the three Andrew Balding trained raiders on the Newcastle card tonight and is the nap of the day for me.
He was hugely impressive here on handicap debut when winning by four lengths and looks progressive enough to handle the resulting 9lb hike.
The danger looks to be another penalised runner in Selection who is up 6lb for her comfortable course and distance win last week. This just looks a little deeper event tonight though.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
