NIGHTS IN PINK SATIN

⭕ 6.40 Newbury Not the best card by usual course standards in Berkshire tonight but the week after Royal Ascot it’s a case of taking what you are given.

The fillies novice stakes brings together some potentially useful sorts including the two that dominate the top of the Betdaq Betting Exchange market.

Lady Of Leisure was nibbled at on debut at Haydock before going on to finish second to Fallen Angel. The third from that race Queen’s Reign gave the form a boost with a win at Newmarket next time out. However the Andrew Balding yard are not firing on all cylinders at present and if you are considering a short odds bet you should factor in that the last five favourites from the yard have all been beaten.

Pink Satin might be good enough to follow up on her Windsor win under a penalty. She stayed on really well to beat the favourite Painite in a race where the stalls weren’t used and looked as though the extra furlong she gets tonight will be perfect.

It should concern the front two but debutants Shuwari and Balletic help keep the market honest whilst the outsider of the quintet Legal Beat can only improve for her debut third at Newbury where she went off an unconsidered 125/1 shot.

AFTER SATIN TAKE ON LATIN

⭕ 7.15 Newbury Latin Verse was the morning favourite for this but has struggled in both his turf starts after winning on the all-weather at Lingfield.

The handicapper might have over-reacted to that win and he still looks plenty high enough.

With the Charles Hills stable in good form I thought his Vaynor looked a little over-priced. He rattled up four wins last year and there was plenty to like about his run earlier in the month at Goodwood when third. He’s back in trip tonight but was a winner over a mile and half at Newmarket last season so I’m not expecting that to cause many problems.

⭕ 8.40 Newton Abbot Junior Massini gets the nap vote. Up 4lb in the weights might not halt his progress after wins and Warwick and Bangor and he is up against three rivals that find winning hard.

Loved Out (1 win from 26), Seymour Promise (0 from 13) and Tel’Art (3 from 25) – but all three wins over hurdles and 0-8 over fences.

DAQMAN’S BETS:

6.40 Newbury (win 10)
BET 3.3pts win PINK SATIN

7.15 Newbury (win 20)
BET 2.0pts win VAYNOR

8.40 Newton Abbot (win 10, nap)
BET 8.5pts win JUNIOR MASSINI

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
